I have seen my cousins doing grand wedding inviting 1000 peoples and 2 weeks worth of functions. Though its individual choice but some how it exists in reality too atleast from what i have seen. This is my first EKTA show so no idea bout TV shows.

I think destination weddings are more in trend but if my guess is right older generation had simple one with only limited family members.
