We don't know what the context is here. We already know Saroj is a big mouth so she might've said something by comparing Babita's previous fasts and today's. If it is about Ashok then something has to trigger the topic, otherwise there's no point in bringing him up.

I'm just gonna take it as HS talking about himself for now cuz Idk what the reasoning will be for him to talk about Ashok.

I wouldn't put it past them to do so but I don't think they will ever do that from HS. This man couldn't even forgive the Khuranas for the way they treated Babita. And here Ashok did so many terrible things right in front of him.

It will be really weird to have HS point out faults in Babita like that while raise up Ashok. I really don't see the point in it. As it is, Minnie doesn't need to be told that her mother isn't perfect, she knows that all too well. Also, Minnie herself pointed out how much of a failure Babita was in her previous marriage when she had called her selfish.

You know, this show had all the ingredients to become a cult hit but it's tragically gone off on a tangent.

Sigh... I feel these pangs when I watch old episodes, or one like today's which had all the feels of the old episodes.

Exactly. And we know from Imarti's illness, that he did everything that he could to try to protect her but it all failed. These fasts aren't conducted as a service but rather as a hope and a heart felt wish that their prayers be answered. That no harm befalls their loved one.
