I am so scared about the precap now. I don't want either HS or Minnie to go through another round of heartache, superficial consolation, etc. It would hurt so much to see this.

I know HS is hurting and today Minnie seemed to genuinely appreciate how good he is to her mother, but considering how all over the place the writing has been, I dare not hope the precap is what it looks like: that HS will reveal what's been in his heart all this time. Even if he does, I don't know how convincing the writers' reasoning would be after everything that has happened since the wedding.

I thought for a second he was talking about Ashok's side of the story. Won't surprise me if this is leading into Ashok 2.0 coming in for season 2.

Yes, she was so shocked!

They are slowly closing the loop on giving her all these chhoti chhoti khushiyan that she never got with Ashok. The way he kept looking at her adoringly during the pooja, the woman he fasted for, the woman who had fasted even with a fever and had fainted. He looked so much at peace. I felt good for him, to see that contentment on his face after suffering for so many years.

That's what I thought too, but was wondering why he would bring Ashok up all of a sudden. Then again, even if Minnie doesn't consider him her father, he still thinks of himself that way, whether or not he says it.

And I don't see anything wrong with that, to be honest. They don't have to make things overly dramatic, and if indeed this is a 'realistic' show then they can have her get wings and go happily.

It's a good message to society to show parents actively supporting their kids, especially daughters, to chase their dreams and not just kids leaving home after a fight. She will still have to make her way in her new world.
