Yes. This is one stark contrast between them and why I feel she could never be his daughter in true sense. With her it's always I gave you wings, I taught you to fly etc, etc. The truth is starting from Ashok and Meetha everyone had a hand in empowerment of Babitha including Khatri. Someone should tell her we all can be only propellants in something which is already decided by fate.
Look, for all HS' lack of experience in parenting, the truth is she never truly accepted him. KK wants to project it as her not having the onus of accepting him. Sure, she doesn't but she cannot be absolved of responsibility in behaving properly with him and being sensitive to his feelings. She knows he loves her as his daughter and that he would eventually learn to be a good parent, Even if she cannot return that affection she can be civil and honest with him. She can expect so much from him, extract promises from him, play on his emotions, etc. but not give a damn about his emotions and think it's all fine.
After all that she did to get her mother out of emotionally abusive situations, this is the least one can expect her to do. But no, she doesn't think about him beyond her own sphere/project. I'm not surprised, she was brought up with the Khuranas and being self-absorbed comes naturally. What a shame! This girl had so much potential and now it won't be realized because frankly I don't see anyone else take so much initiative to help her out and care about her growing into a good young lady.
