The fact is, Babita is a mother, and no amount of insecurity or lack of awareness can absolve her of the responsibility for her child, whether Minnie is 18 or 28. I also think thy are pushing the limits to show all the different things that women like Babita can do wrong with no one to blame but themselves. As Poonam and NB both have said in different ways, relationships take work and the second time is not easy by default. Here, a kid is involved.
@bold: I completely agree.....no excuses or personality flaws can justify that lack of responsibility towards her own child no matter how old that kid is.
The writers are definitely pushing the limits with Babita....I suppose what frustrates us from time to time is that we don't know if there is really a light at the end of the tunnel with Babita.....her flaws have been more than established....but without evolution, it feels pointless.
I wish the writing did a better job of balancing the plusses and minuses with her.....and no, her plus can't just be that she cooks good food *rolls eyes*
