Can we have someone like Jennifer Aniston here?

not even 22 hours since she made her insta debut and she has broken the internet and creating record by already having 7.1M followers in only 21 hours..not even 1 day. She has 11M followers in less than 2 days.

and this from a 50 years old..an age where bollywood actresses are seldom allowed to shine as a leading lady

she also frequently tops richest actresses in the world list with mostly at 4th or 5th spot of highest paid actresses

where as in bollywood..all the hugely popular ones struggle to keep their popularity intact in 40s let alone 50..aish..kajol in mid 40s suffered a huge set back..aish had a mega disastrous social media experience too where her followers barely increased.. Jen at 50 is having the same followers in barely 20 hours

only one who comes to mind is madhuri..who is still hugely popular on social media and otherwise but still not the way it should be

May be our current ones will change that by remaining mega popular like jen even at 50 but the older ones have for sure struggled!

it would be pretty amazing to see a 50 plus ruling it like Jen..unfortunately salman..akshay etc are doing it but not the ladies

How can u compare Jen with bolly stars? Probably 90% of the world knows who she is. Friends still remain the most watched show in Netflix even beating the popularity of their original content.

Jen runs on the popularity of the uber successful Friends, so her case is not typical. Social media or not, what is really worrying in BW is the lack of meaningful roles for 40+, 50+ actresses. In Hollywood talented middle-aged ladies are thriving. In Bollywood they seem to be ignored. Someone of Madhuri's stature and talent should be busy acting most of the time. Instead, films are made in which twenty-somethings pretend they can act and dance, and are "lucky" to get flower pot roles and the "privilege" of being denigrated by the likes of Kabir Singh and look oh-so sexy (obnoxious nepokids aren't even capable of that). What an achievement for the fairer sex. *sarcasm*

Of course, nothing will change in that regard until the narrow-minded mentality of cowardly, mediocre producers and Indian audiences changes. But from where are they supposed to get their dose of good taste? Dharma? Salmonella? Don't make me laugh.
