The revelation came too soon. It would have been nice to have Prachi defending Rishi vehemently and Ranbir's jealousy be hyped up to the max. 😂

That's what I want to see too. That will be something new and interesting. It will also show the modern mindset of not defying traditions but fighting for what is right. However, it is Ekta we are talking about.

Even this time around, if he ends up helping at all, I don't think he'll do it with the intention of impressing Prachi. He'll do it simply because it's the right thing to do. If Prachi ends up noticing it, then really that's just a bonus.

We fans have better ideas on how to run the story than writers.
