True that.. but I've been following certain principles for quite some years..
With respect to this topic, I don't through anything outside the windows of bus or train.. I do keep those papers/covers/cups or whatever it maybe, folded in my bag if at all I don't find any dustbins on the way home, I'll put it in the bin at my home..
My mom and sister tease me at times for doing so, but I stick to it..
Last year, enga area Kovil thirivizha appo they'll distribute food as prasadham in paper plates.. many ppl just throw it away even without eating fully too in the streets and make it more nasty.. when I was searching for a bin to put the paper cup , a middle aged man saw and told me "adhai appadiye ingaye pottidu maa.. ellaarum pottirukkaanga dhaane ?"..
I refused to do so and kept holding it in my hands.. oru maadhiri yera iranga paarthaaru..
Same day, my little cousin sister who also walked with me in the thiruvizha streets, after having her icecream didn't throw it .. she had in her hands till we found the bin finally in the next street.. her mom (my Chithi) teased her saying, 'enna .. akka va follow panriyaa?' nu.. she just smiled 😳.. I felt happy inside.. she followed me without me saying a word.. 👏
Nowadays my mom too follows it..
The problem there was, as much as ppl were ready to offer good in the name of prasadham for the festival, nobody thought of keeping a dustbin anywhere.. 👎🏼
