Basu is a weak player. He is too focus on prerna and getting her. All his plans involve getting prerna love and attention. His plans are childish. Whereas bajaj is an experience and mature man. He has dealt with people who attacked him his whole life. That's why he is so good at taking care of himself. Again the difference between man and boy. Basu never was challenged in life like bajaj. Everything he got was handed to him. Even the company. Bajaj worked his whole life and built his own company.
That's why basu doesn't care for consequences. He never suffered the consequences for his actions. His family saves him and prerna. Even when he is wrong. He doesn't care he is romancing another man wife in front of him. More importantly that man wife being rishibh bajaj. Bajaj however don't let people who do wrong get away with it. Basu for the first time will learn the consequences of being wrong
Bajaj doesn't need anything really to be justified because number one prerna is his wife.
Ps when prerna said she can't stand against basu even when he is wrong that is where Bajaj there and then decided to show basu his wrongs knowing no one would correct basu while he gets away with doing all of these things
