Historic Advance For War

War has had a historic advance for the Hindi film industry as it records the highest pre sales collections ever and the highest number of ticket sales also in the last decade. This is not counting releases from South or Hollywood. The film surpassed the pre sale collections of Thugs of Hindostan and when the final numbers come in the morning it should also edge out Prem Ratan Dhan Payo for the number of tickets sold in advance.
The pre release sales will cross the 30 crore nett mark and finish in the 31-32 crore nett which is higher than any outright Hindi film and only behind Avengers - Endgame and Bahubali - The Conclusion if we count all films.
War is facing competition unlike most even films as a Syeraa Narisimha Reddy and Joker will release alongside it. The former will provide big competition in the South while Joker will be competition in the five big metroes.
This competition has meant that the Hindi version of War will release on around 3900 screens or maybe just hit the 4000 screen mark on final count. A solo release would have meant the film hitting 4800 screens or maybe even more. Generally the screen count is not that important as most films dont even reach quarter of their capacity but this film being an action film with two big heroes on a national holiday is a different story as it will draw huge crowds on day one and the higher the capacity the better to take advantage of that.
Despite the release not being optimum the film will still probably challenge the all time opening day record which stands at 48 crore nett set by Thugs Of Hindostan last year.
