I think the writers have enough fodder for both masala and character development. Every character needs to hold on to a motive. and, that what is being done by each one of them except Bajaj. He is dynamic and likes to shape his own destiny.

A's strength stems from Prerna's stagnation. For that, both he and she can't move on but there has to be either something in positive or otherwise.

A terrible heartbreak or disappointment due to Anurag o r A genuine attraction towards Bajaj

Bajju has chosen a very interesting path. He achieves both the targets by playing well.

The wife has her heart with someone else, so play with'someone else.'

This breakeven has to happen. Till that time, Anurag will be attached and Prerna blinded by love.
