Weekend episode they clearly told.. They concentrated only on task for TTF and people still targeting for casual discussions.. So they cant erase anything unless either one of them leave.

Again after mahat and yashika advise, they got confused becoz they were not at all seen together after weekend episode but still such advise... So he may decided to leave instead of spoliling her chance for finale...

After Tharshan's padhavi gone..

Add to the fact that she has been so upset after that episode and went and cried saying either of them should go to change everyone's mindset plus the photo.. Too much of mental stress to handle.
