Yes.. the underlying meaning in HS's question to Minnie was more ominous than a simple case of anger or misunderstanding. That he thought she was capble of such malicious, spiteful, cunning, under-handed tactics to put such a spanner in the works on the day of her Babe's wedding. That she was so evil and such a poseur that she hid all her bitterness and plans of subterfuge behind her veil of outward joy. This strikes at the heart of what HS can think of her and it is not really that simple to gloss over
