Just watched the countdown scene again. Minnie was overwhelmed by what she saw in HS' eyes, but she didn't know how to respond or deal with the situation. Clearly she is not there yet where she has accepted him 100% as her father. The countdown was her little gesture to show him that he was important to her, that he was still her hero and mentor, whose teachings she continued to use in her daily life, a life that he had changed dramatically.

In that scene too, just as with the water tanker one, she had taken on HS' teachings about how to calmly deal with crisis situations. Yet she kept searching his face for a look of approval, the "all is well", the done deal look, but it was not forthcoming. His smile did not reach his eyes and she faltered ever so slightly there.

I think at that point they both wanted to resolve things just for Babita's sake. I don't know if this scene will continue to tomorrow but just as Minnie had hugged her mother, I want her to hug her Hanuman Uncle too. I doubt this will happen though, as it looks like there might be a distance between them from now on.

HS feels like he went from hero to zero in her life.

They can't, especially because Mickey is going to be there for her.

YESS THIS! He totally felt helpless when Babita was blasting out. He was already annoyed with their wrong timings, he must loathe Khuranas now on how they treated his Babita.

Also, did you notice how when he was holding Babita, he was looking at her the entire time, totally absorbing everything she's feeling in that moment, at the same time easing her pain

Yup!

He was listening to her completely. Her words, her tears, her shrinking body, her silence, the anguish residing in her heart, the loneliness she had felt for years, the yearning for a husband who will just listen and care for her in return. He heard everything she said and those she left out.

I don't think she'll be brainwashed, but she might be sent on a guilty trip inside.

I loved that bit.

When he had held her by the shoulders at the hospital, it was to give her strength and reassure her of his support.

Today he did the same, but along with support his grip was a protective and possessive one too.

It was awful to watch Minnie do the countdown. It clearly wasn't going to work and this anger is going to stick around for quite a bit. She truly feels out of her depth and lost. Normally, she would go to him for guidance on how best to deal with issues, but who will she go to for advice now?

He also held her the same way!

I think he has always known about this, but just hearing her articulate it and the depth of pain out loud gave him some relief too. He had always hated the fact that she had so much bottled up and he knew this poison had to come out. I think on some subconscious level his words to her about responding to Lovely's taunts and the unfinished conversation about her having to be a good bahu, etc. the other day was finally completed today.

HS knew he was and would always be that husband to her but at the same time he realized that Babita had reached that point where she too could count on him to be that man in her life. He had promised that they would solve things together, and that's exactly what they were doing.

Now I want a scene with HS in the middle and both mother daughter showering their love on him. Teasing him, but also make him feel secure of their love for him.

This will be so lovely!

The reason it wasn't going to work was because he wasn't angry, he was hurt by her, because of her. That's not something she has had to face or deal with him in the past. This is new ground for her, and for him too.

Who will she go to for advice? No one. She will retreat further and either Mickey or NB will from time to time manage to prod her. That major breakdown is imminent.
