well that's the thing. In the original ekta didn't know how well bajaj and prerish will do. Fans absolutely loved bajaj and prerish. The age difference in the relationship was a great factor. Bajaj turned out to be an iconic character in the show that even people still love today. So it's no surprise that prerish is shown differently and the development is done well.
