Anyone else think that the post 2010s actresses just feel forgettable?

I guess Alia sticks out a bit at least (not a fan though). Rest from her gen like Parineeti, Vaani,Janhvi Shraddha or lately Sara, Ananya etc. are all lacking in terms of acting skills and feel generic. It's no surprise she has no real competition right now.

In the 90's-2000's the actresses were far more unique like Sridevi, Madhuri, Kajol, Rani, Preity, Kareena, Aishwarya etc. and there was plenty of competition.

Alia has started the trend that a not so beautiful/average looking actress can also make it big. That's why the likes of Shanaya, Ananya and Jahnvi have so much confidence.

Its just nostalgia effect.

Plus some of the actress you named have only done one two.movies, don't tell me Kajol was suddenly seen as a legend with that eye brow face after one or two movies, or Rani had any standing after one or two movies, Madhuri until Tezaab happened was not really seen as anything.

It happens always 40s born saw 60s as useless, 50s saw 70s as useless, 70s saw 90s as useless, 90s see 10s as useless , and this goes on and on.

This is forgettable ?

Fair point, I suppose they just need time..although the likes of Shraddha, Vaani & Parineeti have had quite some time already but are still forgettable. It doesn't feel like there is any real competition, there is Alia and then there is the rest (not counting DP, Katrina etc. here, just the younger gen)

Maybe that will change in a few years, we will see.

Trends changing.

It doesn't matter much if you are beautiful. You just need to have a great dressing sense and present yourself accordingly. Guys will somehow find anything to want you.

Ya, I don't find any to be very impressive :(

I like/liked many actresses till the 2000s.. but after that, post 2010, haven't been able to sustain my interest or leave a lasting impression.. They're pretty, they're fine..

Currently, I like Nora Fatehi though, especially off-screen.. been a long time since I liked someone this much 😃 🤗

I think its in TV as well. Every actress used to look different and had this uniqueness...for example Dhrashti had big eyes, Sukirti had full lips, Sanaya had that innocence.

They were all pretty but looked different. Now everyone wants doe-shaped eyes, full lips and sharp nose...there is no uniqueness.

In movies, Alia was super cute in SOTY...but she also got some surgeries and her extreme weightloss aged her.

Till 2010 every heroine looked different. Kajol, Madhuri, Aishwariya, Raveena, Karishma, Juhi...they all looked different. Even PC, DP, Kat were distinguishable. Not just their face, their body type was also different.

Shanaya, Janhvi, Khushi, Ananya are encouraged because they are star kids. Agar koi bhaav nahi deta toh these guys would not have even tried for sure.

Abhi ke debutants are those skinny lip job-nose job kiye hue log wearing bade bade brands...no individuality...hence they are forgettable
