I have yet to see a coincidence in THR from a story POV. Everyone meets at a certain place and time for a reason. And I also don't think this family is very innocent. So I'm sure they're truth will come out.

One thing is for sure, Atul's death will be a major plot driver going forward. Malhar will get justice for Atul's death, no matter what. And we all know that all these new characters are temporary in the show, so they have to make an exit. If they were to be involved in Atul's death somehow, Malhar won't forgive them even if they were his own blood. That would be an easy exit point for them.

I also agree that I'm not all that excited about new family.
