As for me, I don't use spf ☺️ everyone around tells me I'll regret it in future but... IDK, I hope not

OMG OMG OMG i am here as your sign! Hunny you need to use sunscreen every single day rain or shine. every day of the year. the further damage is not only pigmentation but also wrinkles. if you could have any skincare product I would recommend this one. everything else from masks to serums to moisturizers is useless if you are not protecting the collage in your skin from sunscreen.

i am telling you you will regret it ! please do some research on this sis

👀 I use it only when I'll be in direct sunlight for a long time 👀

no no it must be applied every single day as the rays can come through the windows as well. this includes cars as well or travelling to work. even if it is raining snowing or cloudy the sun is still outside. the only time it's not outside is when the moon is out or when it's pitch black

the sun is outside every single day so use sunscreen

I never used Sunscreen until few months ago... only b/c my doctor told me to. He said that with climate change you'll more likely see brown folks with skin cancer...

I was thirty-something before I realized brown people need sunscreen.

I had spent an entire day on the beach. The next day when I was showering I was wondering why my skin was burning. My roommate informed me that I was sunburned all over. I had to be slathered in aloe to cool down my skin.

I still don't believe in sunscreen unless I'm going to spend more than a few hours outside.

But some considerations

- Melanin has a natural SPF. The darker your skin the more natural SPF you have. Light skin has only 3-4 SPF. So, If you have pale to wheatish skin you need SPF 30 (anything more than that is overkill and overpriced). Dark skin has 13-20 SPF. So, if you have really dark skin you can go as low as SPF 15 (anything under that is unavailable and as good as no sunscreen).

- If living in a humid climate or if you have oily skin go for just SPF. If you live in an arid climate or have dry skin use a moisturizing sunscreen.

- If you are going to go swimming or sweating a lot get waterproof sunscreen

I started using sunscreen until this year. It was the first time I was going to India in April/May after moving to the USA - so I bought some as a precaution.

I'll be 40 in a few years, but people still pin me down as late twenty-something. IDK when I will start regretting my lack of belief in sunscreen. But I will surely cry when I no longer have a babyface.

You mean to say you started using sunscreen from last year?

I thought I was the only one who didn’t use sun screen. I don’t know I don’t like putting things on to my face, and I also because I kind of don’t believe in it. It’s such a chore. I started doing light make up too from last year only as I never liked make up, etc until last year where I started using after hearing from my cousin that if I get old, I may regret. So I then I thought about it and realized if I get old, I will regret not doing make up and doing many things. So I have started doing make up on some occasions.

But I still don’t put sun screen. I don’t know people rarely use sunscreen in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Most don’t even know what it is, and from what I have seen their skin is much better than the skin I have found among women in US. We used to have open roof living room like we used to live in Queeta. So we would be technically under the sun almost 8-12 hrs and I would even sleep under the sun as I loved it. My skin is good thankfully. Most says I look younger than my age and get surprised when I tell them my age. I really really love sunlight and live staying under it and lying and sleeping whenever I get the chance. That’s why I don’t want to put sunscreen as I will feel as if I am putting a barrier between the sun and me. I love sunlight. It makes me really happy. So I don’t know. I hope everything goes well from now on too as I don’t want to regret not using sun screen :(

I use Argon oil on my face as a moisturizer. I love it. My face used to be oily. It’s normal now.

If you do use it, make sure to buy a real Argon oil as I don’t think many brands are good and use real Argon oil. It lasts for a long time. I buy mine $17-$20, and it lasts me 4 months and sometimes more.
