Hey! You gotta watch it and you'll understand what I mean :)

It would've done way better if released now and Karishma in that one film was better than so many actresses in women-centric films that released in the past 2-3 years.

For some reason while watching her as Zubeidaa I could imagine her in Raazi as Sehmat...I am sure she would've nailed it

I do love this film. I remember reading that Rishi Kapoor made some dumb comment that Manoj cannot play any Prince or King because he is dark. Ugh duh, how many Indian rulers do you think were darker than you? Anyway, I thought it was a good film but I haven't seen it in so long. Guess I need to catch up and rewatch.

How stupid can these Bollywood people be, what world do they live in ?! Manoj was so freakin charming and 'charismatic' (see what I did there 😆) as Victor. Rishi Kapoor kya, no one from Bollywood would be able to perform the way he did. ❤️

Yehi Bollywood insiders ki problem hai, fair skin, urbanized lingo, Hindi ko bhi faltu style mein bolo tab hi actor ban sakte ho..what a load of horse crap. Looking at the actual photos of Zubeida Begum and the king, the casting was perfect!

I don't think she's referring to the technicalities. I think she meant to say that the movie would have had more recognition had it been released now.

Exactly what I meant <3

I thought about this too, if it was because of Zubeidaa's brother in law or if it was Z herself, or if Zubeidaa and the husband who probably had a huuuuuge fight in the plane or if it simply happened by chance.. but it's hard to arrive at a conclusion.. bas, it had to happen perhaps, irrespective of the reason? what do you think? :p

I think it was Zubeida, because there's an inner dialogue before she goes after them that suggest it could be her..

It says I cannot bear Victor changing, may be we'll be forever happy after death... Something like that😅 or maybe anything is possible.

Loved the movie.Karishma looked very pretty in that movie and her acting was top notch. She was so good as the possessive annoying wife. That makes me realise Karishma is very underrated as an actor.I also liked Rekha in the movie. She was adorably loving as Mandy didi.❤️

Oh I loved the movie. Karishma's look, the songs and the royal settings kind of gives you the sad Princess vibe. From far anyone would think why is she sad? She has all the jewels and money but as you get closer you see her grief. She was a free bird who wanted to dance and sing and enjoy life but her father never let her do that then she thought she will get it after marriage but there again she was binded by several rajputi rules. She was surrounded by so many people yet she was lonely. Everyone took her as a spoilt ignorant brat who was too childish and stubborn but no one tried to understand her feelings.

She didn't care about the society but she cared the people who cared about the society thus her desires got buried somewhere under the norms of the society.

So gaye Hai kho gaye Hai dil ke afsane... This song still gives me the chills. In a way zubeida got lost somewhere because of "log kya kahenge"

I was thinking to watch Zubeidaa few days back only because when I was browsing YouTube, I came across, "Mehndi hai Rachnewali...." By Alka Yagnik and I saw that video. I was curious to know why Karishma's Zubeidaa was unhappy in the song and why Farida Jalal's character is forcing her to marry.....because according to me this song should be happy dancing some 😂😂.... This was my perception of this song from childhood that it's a happy song but it was far from happy. Then I searched about movie, and read it's story. I found it interesting.

What was more interesting was to find that Zubeidaa is the last part of Trilogy, and first was Mammo which was based on Farida Jalal's character. Second was about some Begum.

It has created a hype and curiosity for me. I would love to watch this some day. It will be much better than today's stupid cinema. I never knew our Bollywood made good Trilogy movies as well. This is a good work.

I have watched all the three movies in the trilogy I would suggest watching mammo and zubeidaa first because they are more closely related.
