I think those are the current emotions experienced by them. Bajaj may want a family unit for the sake of Kuki and hence stirring of emotions in his brain. Pre is disinterested in him and only solace she derives is from Kuki. I would be sad if there was any chemistry between them now. Between Naveen and Pre, she hated him but didn't need loyalty as he was not her husband yet. Anurag was always her friend, hence they were at ease even though the sword of Naveen was hanging on her head.
