I don't know if he'll ever go as far as claiming he has more rights over Minnie than Babes. For him Minnie would always come first but he also knows how important her relationship with Babes is. Ultimately, he will leave that decision to Minnie since she is going to be 18 soon. If Minnie decides to stay with HS and Babes interferes, then he can support Minnie as it is her full right to choose where she wants to stay. It'll also be a wake up call for Babes as she'll realize that Minnie is no longer the child she considers her to be. She is a woman of her own right.

And I'm with you on wanting Hanita to choose each other solely for each other. If their relationship is dependent on Minnie then it won't work. After all, she isn't a little child that needs a lot of attention. She's more than capable of taking care of herself. Babes should want HS for HS and vice versa.

He won't claim he has more rights but he doesn't claim equal rights yet. On some level he still needs to go a bit further before he can fully be confident in the permanence of Minnie in his life.

You know, this story is about emancipation of women and their right to choose their happiness. If Minnie feels that HS is the father she never had, then why can't she choose to live with him? Not fair to her at all to be sandwiched.

It's easy for her to walk away because she doesn't have a cemented relationship with HS. She's not bound to him by law or for any other emotional reasons. Everything she had been feeling for him were still in their budding stages and were clipped away abruptly.

Ashok never gave her a chance to do the whole ruthna manana thing either. When he came back, he just attacked her in a way that she had no choice but to leave him.

This will be another learning opportunity for her. It's easier to walk away from things and difficult to maintain relationships. If she wants to keep a rishta with HS, then they both have to put in the effort. For 17 years, she kept a marriage alive. I know that's tough and completely unfair but it doesn't have to be the same the second time around. It's scary, but she needs to communicate her feelings clearly.
