Usually in case of any operation CT is common. It's pretty standard to get whole body check up in operated patients. Also tumours always produce some changes in blood, csf , weight,in case of brain tumor- vision, hearing impairment, loss of balance, muscle strength loss, paralysis etc.
Also most brain tumor never arise from brain itself- primary brain tumors are seen in usually in AIDS patient that too in later stages. Minnie doesn't have AIDS. So most likely it's would be a metastatic tumor from lungs or abdomen- easily caught on CT. And CT and X Ray are always done even if it's an emergency.
Minnie most probably has headache due to stress, at most migraine. Tumors in brain have more serious symptomatology.
Like someone has said, even I take offence at this say. You gotta have facts and you gotta have all of them before you speak about something as serious as this.
While I doubt it patients with appendix have to get a CT scan done before the operation, I refuse to agree that a brain tumor cannot go undetected even if they get it done. It's not too surprising for the tumor to not show up in a CT scan and for doctors to not miss it even if it shows the abnormalities.
When you speak about the changes, a tumor brings, it is equally important to consider that not all patients experience what most of them would generally in case of a tumor do. You are mentioning extremes here and let me tell you, often - okay not often, but at times, despite being a serious tumor, the changes aren't as visible as they should and it HAPPENS.
I feel awful when you say MOST. Let me put it clear for you - it would not be too uncommon for people with AIDS to have tumor, primarily because AIDS affect their immunity but tumors aren't seen only in people with AIDS. It's given that people with AIDS are likely to develop tumors but that's about it. It is not the sole thing to develop a cancer.
Again, it is not as easily caught on CT as you put it. It is not.
@bold - Please, I sincerely urge you not to declare the headaches stating they ARE because of stress and migraine to your real life people and I mean it. Sure, they CAN BE but don't assume it. Do you know, how often, serious issues go undiagnosed because people take headaches lightly, presuming they are because of either migraine or stress? I am not ranting without knowledge. I have a blood clot in my brain. Cannot be equated to a brain tumor but not much less serious than it either. My brain was in a bad condition when it was diagnosed. My neurologist couldn't accept that a patient with a blood clot had come walking to his hospital, was talking and most importantly, was on her feet. I was clearly refused by my Gynecologist when I had asked her if I could have thrombosis. Everyone thought I was taking things more seriously than I should. A couple of Doctors had stepped away stating it was migraine. Earlier in my hematology check up, my platelet count was way above than a normal one - a common thing that should put the doctor in doubt but he didn't bother about it. It was my decision, I would say intelligence and trust in my instinct that I went ahead to a thorough check up. I would have been in either heaven or hell otherwise by now.
So basically what I want to put is, symptoms depend upon your health so far, size and location of the tumor and even if its fatal, in some cases, you won't experience anything more than headaches.

Everyone reading this - if you or people around get headaches that get unbearable and you feel that they are severe than normal ones - go with your instinct and get a check up done from a neurologist. If you have been said to have migraine but you feel it is something more than that - do not hesitate or take years to listen to yourself and move to another Doctor to confirm the same.
