But people are quite protective when it comes to their God. Logo ne toh hindu ko aise hi badnam kiya hai. Warna we are tolerant in comparison to others. People make fun of our religion sometimes and we just sit back and laugh along but all are not as much as laid back. As much as cool we think they are, they are not. Even Christains. They are very sensitive towards their religion. And let's not even start with Muslim.

My dear, I'm too from a Christian family.😆 But I don't believe in God and religion so I want it to get exposed in movies.😆

Hard to say, polin. I'm not updated with good actors from the younger or the 'contemporary' people.. but there's this dude from the film '1985', Cory Michael Smith, his performance impressed me greatly. I think he'd be the best for Naseeruddin's role, which requires a lot of emoting through eyes and body language.. but I guess that dude may be too young.. hmm, not sure.. there's so many choices like Oscar Isaac or Jake Gyllenhaal.. there's too many good actors!

As for the ladies...hmm... maybe Alicia Vikander for Rekha's role? She has that face and can emote with a restraint.. and can play for both older and younger versions..

As for the other lady 'Maya', ..I just think of 90s Drew Barrymore! ..someone like that, who's like that among today's young gen? (her role is that of a younger woman)

Chloe Grace Mortez maybe

Maybe they do it in the original Australian movie

IDK, haven’t seen both movies

But read the storyline, I thought it was similar to the HW comedy “Oh, God!

It’s a fun movie... God appears in court

There’s a scene where they ask him is Jesus your son?

He says yes, so is Buddha, Moses, You and everybody

Christains are so so uncool tbh. Especially recent converts, annoying to the T.

actually almost all the films in your lists got banned in places, just like any religion controversy inducing movies do in any religious people dominated areas. So it wasn't exactly the scenario of people ignoring them and going on with their life.
