I completely agree on the bringing them closer part. Even the way she tried to manipulate him today, she unwittingly made him realize that he had slightly been disrespectful to her.

In my opinion, I think he is unaware about their intentions. Remember how they kept mentioning that Rishabh is always away on his business trips? Also the fact that he is so consumed by his business and Cookie that he hadn’t thought that someone like a maasi, who is a mother figure for him, could have any designs on getting him married in a very manipulative manner.
