I kept looking at the papers trying to zoom in to see Annie Peters printed there.
1) Having a picture of a religious deity does not mean you follow that religion. Buddha imagery is a home decor trend.
2) Many people are laissez-faire about their faith. This is especially true in Bombay. Diwali, Eid, and Christmas get celebrated with the same enthusiasm. I know several people of various faiths who kept varied religious iconography at home.
3) Not all converted people change their name. Many Indians kept and continue to keep their family names even after conversions. A name change, in general, has declined with generations. Most importantly though - even if she has converted - why does it matter?
1. A photo of jesus in her room is obviously not for the decor purpose.
2. Celebrating festivals with friends and neighbours is pretty normal thing to do I dont see why there is a need to make a point on this.
3.problematic when those converted people with hindu sounding name come abusing hindus/Hinduism calling themselves still Hindus to establish credentials and fool people in the name of secular bullcrap. The forum is infested with such people..😆
No problem if anyone wants to convert to any religion. It would also be nice if they ve honest about it.
Also, its said that one hindu lost to conversion is one enemy gained due to all the brainwashing they go through at the hands of missionaries. Everyone knows the process and how missionary tactics work. They are nuisance around mang parts of the country. And these activities are happening on large scale, also funded by foreign entities to change the demography. I dont think anyone can deny the sinister designs by the outside forces. I dont think anyone is naive enough to not see through what's actually happening in the country, especially south, north east, Punjab and many tribal areas.
