Emotional Attachment is definitely a major factor in this, if a stranger slaps you on the road, you won't leave him without punishing him. A neighbor yelled at my brother and I went all Lakshmi Bai on him, when my father slapped him, I didn't say anything. We are wired like this, it will take ALOT to change this mindset
