1. Can people fall in love twice?

2. Can people forget the first love?

Well, the answer to all these questions lie in the simple fact of courtship patterns and animal behaviour in Homo Sapiens. The purpose of any species is to procreate and hence, you’d see the fleeting philandering in men whose sole purpose is to sow the seeds for the propagation of species while women look up to men who can invest in Male paternal investment so that she can nurture her progenies in safety. Simple evolution and instinct. However, the complexities start because Homo sapiens have complex interactions which are not only confined to sexual bonds but extend towards companionship and cohabitation.

Well, love is one of the most complex yet beautiful emotions that can exist. For years, researchers have tried to find reasoning and logic in the patterns of love. There are various forms of love that exist in the world and yes, people can fall in love n number of times and can experience different forms of love with different people at the same time.

Coming back to the context, yes, you can fall again in love with someone else but still in your heart or subconscious mind you have feelings for your previous one. That’s natural. That’s how memory works.

We still keep loving them, remembering how good it was but at the same time, in the present might expect great bonds with someone else. Unfulfilled desires lead to longing. Haven’t we heard of old flames recurring in perfect lives and then begins dangerous liaisons. Had it been animals, it’s perfect to philander. But aren’t animals anymore, are we?

As simple as that. Love can happen many times, at the same time with two different people with different emotions and forms.
