Freelancers like Salil won't have accurate data nor do media portals. For that matter what is published by Barc isn't enough. Therefore data analysts will consider raw urban trps across India and subscription patterns which are provided by dth companies to decide ad rates.
However from the producers and channels angle even if trp is good but actors salaries and production costs go beyond budget or do not break even, good ratings or being in top 10 fall flat.
KSG or HK have quoted huge amounts and the current cast do not exactly come cheap. Return over investment is not consistent vs bhagyas from where EK has been minting money. She is earning but not to expectations
Apart from signing big names, small time shows like Rabata and Gundan are consistent and are either 5th or 6th all over India. The actors are relatively low key budget wise too, therefore their producers stand to earn more.
So trps of 2 plus is reqd in the long run. 2.5 is more ideal which isn't a big deal provided they have a proper story line.
Infact mata is very lucky that solo stans have stuck to their idols.
