What I wrote..that's my own research, understanding and inner knowing. But you're right there is that concept attributed to Buddhism today-Actually what I want to say is that Buddhism did not come up with it.

I want to post one image with Buddhist iconography that shows the seven levels but both my search engines are failing me today. So I am just posting this.

This is evolution. There are seven astral levels and the soul goes to rest on one of the seven levels depending on its state of evolution and its karmic baggage.

Buddhism also has a similar belief system. Actually I dont know if this is even in the realm of beliefs anymore. Kirlean cameras have captured people's auras.

It is taken from sanathana dharma , it is there in Vedas, they are called chakras I.e knowing human anatomy . buddhism, jainism, sikhism are branches of sanathana dharma/hinduism , sanathana dharma is nature made n nature ,way of life. abrahamic religions are man made

In buddhism dhamma means the reality or the way it is. I know it may be thought that buddhism comes from sanatana dharma. But it doesn't. Read up the suttas. Then you will understand. I am not trying to belittle any religion or ideology. I myself follow buddhism thats why I am saying.

You may want to look up to a book called 31 planes of existence. It's Buddhist cosmology.

Also there are chakras. But that's the truth. It's not that it's taken from anything. The truth is truth. Also buddhism.is not a religion. It's a way of life. What Buddha did is that he experienced the truth and sad it. Sanatana dharma had already stated that fact. That's it.

You may activate the chakras and become powerful. But you are not liberrated. You don't attain nibbana by activating the chakras. Also going to heaven is not ultimate goal of buddhism. You get reborn in heaven or hell depending on your kamma or merit.

Actually I don't like to use the word buddhism. It's just a term used for better identification. But it creates "ism".

Also there are 3 sects of Buddhism. Theravada, Mahayana and Tibetan. Each sect has different set of beliefs.

But Buddha himself said that you should not believe something blindly. You also need to experience it directly to properly understand it.

Dharma means to choose your path, righteous action after careful consideration according to your conscience.. And sutta is same as sutra. Believing or not doesnt change anything.

Anyway my aim isnt to belittle anyone or anything either. Thanks for the reco, maybe I'll look up the book.

And I suppose my post wasnt clear. No activating the chakras does not lead to moksha. What I wanted to say is that everyone's got an aura and the soul frequency can be gauged from the colours of the aura for those who know how.

Universe doesn't have an end point. Its expanding since the big bang and faster than the speed of light. And science says that there was nothing before the creation of Universe. But there's another theory which says energy can neither be created not destroyed. So there can't be nothing. Because even nothing means something, and there has to be something for the creation of Universe. So Science too doesn't have answers for everything.

I used to be confused about this and used to feel really bad that most of the world’s population will supposedly go to hell just because they don’t believe on the same exact thing. Forget about believing God or even same prophet, not believing on the same line of successor of prophet makes you go to hell. I found it to be madness. Never made sense for me.

I too have got nightmares with this thought as a kid. The idea is really terrifying and totally messed up and how this fear is openly sold in the name of God and religion is f*cked up. Historians say the idea of hell being a place of torture and burning was made up by early churches. It was originally described only as a state where you are not with God anymore and that makes you unhappy forever. There's nothing like torture. But the idea of eternity is stupid. You still can't be punished infinitely for finite crimes.

Can’t say. I’m not religious. I believe hell is on earth for some people, but not all of them. Some have a pretty good life. Maybe it’s heaven for them. So hell and heaven exist right here in this world. I believe in Moksha, attaining eternal peace. But I don’t believe the bad people aka rapists etc or ones who purposely cause pain to others constantly ever attain moksha and probably their soul doesn’t get peace and they stay stuck in misery of neither living or attaining peace. I believe moksha is the ultimate win of every human being where they are finally at peace and no longer tied to the temporary and anxieties of this world.
