Munna, Manikarnika was not above average or even average
it was Below Average, and it trade' terms, a below average almost means a flop (just like sonam's khoobsurat)
After flop, in trade terms its below average, then commission earner, then overflow/BB+, then average, then above average, then semi hit, hit, superhit, blockbuster and then all-time blockbuster.
Any movie which loose even a bit of money in terms of NET collection (after deducting all expenses) is a flop.
Manikarnika is also almost a flop, trade gave it BELOW AVERAGE tag mainly because it reached a high number of net collection that was almost of its entire budget, but it still failed to recover its whole budget in terms of net collection. (lost 5-8 crores of its total budget..... 99 crore budget and 90-95 crores net total business)
