Disclaimer: What forced me make this post is the ongoing Anu Vs. Pre arguments by solo stans on who was right and wrong in slapping or whose sacrifice was more significant. So, being an Eri fan and one who loved Prerna's characterisation till the dhaga breaking & sindoor removing episode, i felt that i need to put this disclaimer first before starting my post. I am an AnuPre lover and so this post i am making will be based on my perspective of AnuPre as a single unit, irrespective of what their current status it is. I will try my best to put across my thoughts as a neutral viewer. However, as you read through, if anybody feels that i am biased towards Anu or Pre, it is not done purposely. It is just that my life experiences would have influenced me in understanding that incident in that particular way. Hence, i would request the readers to keep that in mind.

Few years back, we bought a new car and my hubby used to take care of it like how we take care of a new born baby. One fine day, when we were out on an outing, he suddenly noticed that someone had scratched across the bonnet which was clearly visible and it happened just in 1month we got the car. In the spur of the moment, he started using bad words for the person who did it (who is unknown to us) and said something should happen to that person. Anyone who knows my hubby knows how caring and compassionate a person he is. He is that person who can't watch bloodied scenes in movies or news. So, it was shocking for me to hear such a thing from him. Immediately i asked him, from when he had started valuing a vehicle over the life or health of a human being. He got silent and started saying he said it in anger & he didn't mean it. The irony to this incident is what happened between me & my son. His board exams were approaching and i was behind him to be serious in his studies. With only one week left i started getting restless and furious seeing his lethargic and carefree attitude. So, one day i lost my control and started shouting at him and at the heat of a moment used an unpardonable word at him, only to get shocked to realise what i said. The same person who had advised my hubby on valuing lives had stooped to the level of valuing studies over life of our only son. I started crying like anything for the whole day, inspite of our son trying to comfort me saying he didn't hurt him, and it took 2 whole days for me to come out of that shock. Why i mentioned these two incidents of my life is to explain 2 life lessons. Firstly, any human being when he/she looses his senses will act or speak foolishly. But, what we have to understand is that those moments doesn't define the real person and so those incidents should not be used to nullify all the other positive traits the person has. Anu and Pre might behave irrationally and speak foolishly when they are out of there senses. But, that doesn't mean we will turn a blind eye to all the good things they did before that. Secondly, emotional outbursts between your dear ones, including pushing and pulling, is a normal thing. I used to do it with my son. Me and my hubby have hurt the other emotionally many times. But, that doesn't mean we don't love or respect the other person. Infact our son feels free to share most of his day to day happenings or secrets with me. Which in turn i share it with my hubby. smiley17. In short, what i meant to say is, please stop judging AnuPre on the basis of the slaps or words they have used to hurt each other. Just hope that the CVs will be meherbaan on us to show that when they are back to their senses, they will realise how they could have made their life beautiful if they had learned the 'ART OF COMMUNICATION'.

Now, coming to the sacrifice part, i will say both Anu's and Pre's sacrifices cannot be weighed, as the prime reason they both did it was to safe lives and it was inevitable in that situation. Whether it be for Anu or Moloy's & Rajesh's lives, both did it to save the life of a human being. Anu didn't agree to Komo's proposal in the first meeting even when she tried to blackmail him using Basu Publications share infos & Sharma house documents. He agreed to her over the phone, ONLY WHEN HE SAW RAJESH'S & MOLOY'S HEALTH GETTING DETERIORATED. Rajesh succumbing to injuries and only Moloy surviving was not Anu's fault and no sensible viewer can nullify the fact that the motive of Anu's sacrifice included Rajesh's life as well. Similarly Pre too rejected Bajaj's offer in the first meeting and she tried to arrange an advocate on her own on the first day of hearing and had somewhat succeded in getting the case forwarded to the fast track court. Only after she met Bajaj for the second time and sensed that how Bajaj could manipulate the whole case & could downplay the whole scenario, then only she agreed to his deal. So, just like Anu, she took the decision to sacrifice her life when she felt that Anu's life is in threat. Till here, everything is somewhat similar to the Komo track and nobody can point fingers either at Anu or Pre. It is the execution of scenes after this point, that has made the fans to argue on whose sacrifice or love is greater and instead of trying to understand that this is a chaal by EK to split the fandom that she made Pre look selfish and foolish in the swiss episodes, some solo stans are trying to justify their favorites and project Anu or Pre as a mahaan atma. I will list out the differences in the track execution so that you all can decide who is to be actually blamed.

1. After Anu agrees to marry Komo, Anu started distancing himself from Pre. He was there comforting her during her father's cremation and in helping Sharmas completing the rituals after that. Yet, it was clearly shown how Anu was avoiding Pre as much as possible. He didn't respond to her calls and once he avoided talking to her even after taking her call. But in Pre's case, she did the opposite. Instead of distancing herself, what Pre did was keeping on giving hope to Anu and encouraging him to dream till the last moment. And evenif she told him not to misunderstand her, because of how she behaved in the whole sequence, it didn't have an impact on viewers. So, if a neutral viewer analyse this characterisation of Prerna being selfish of her feelings only, that she wanted to enjoy being his lover till the last possible moment, we can't blame them. I don't think she picking Anu's call while doing henna in Bajaj's name would have gone in favor of Prerna among neutral audiences. The CVs could have instead used it to show Shivi enquiring why she was late and that could have uplifted the characterisation of the Sharmas and Pre. Which easily points to the fact that it was a deliberate attempt by the CVs to degrade Pre's character.

2. In the AnuKom track, it was shown that after agreeing to marry Komo, Anu goes to Sharma house to share everything with Pre and to find a way out. But, as he reaches there, what he sees is that the Sharmas, especially Veenama, pareshaan about them being thrown out on the roads. That is when he finally decides to move on with Komo and assures the Sharmas that noone will snatch their roof away from them. Whereas, in PreRish track, not even a single moment was shown where Pre tried to share it with anyone. If not Anu, she could have been shown TRYING to share her anguish with Shivi or a monologue could have been given in her scene with Veena asking to forgive her for hiding everything from her mother, who stood beside her in all her decisions. This lack of gulit feeling in Pre (neither to her family or to Anu) even in her private moments, is making viewers think that Pre is moving on from Anu too fast.

3. Though later it was shown that Anu was ready to put Sindoor twice on Komo, we can't be blind to the fact that he fought with his mother on his marriage day and didn't care of the society, inorder to preserve it as Pre's haq. So, if Anu fans or AnuPre fans are criticising Pre for not showing any hesitancy in letting Bajaj put the sindoor, we can't blame them. But, one thing they missed to see is that when the rituals were going on Pre was lost in Anu's thoughts that she didn't know what was happening with her. So, Anu and AnuPre fans, please be reasonable in your bashing.

4. Though Anu didn't let Pre know about his decision to marry Komo, he agreed to have all the functions in public. Whereas Pre who wanted a social marriage with Anu, asked Bajaj to keep every functions in private. That itself shows Pre in a very bad light. If instead of that, if the makers didn't want Pre's character to get butchered, they could have made her ask only for a register marriage. In that case Pre could have been saved from being called many names and would not have been bashed for letting Bajaj put sindoor on her. Which again shows that all this were purposefully done by EK & team to break down the AnuPre fandom into Anu and Pre fans and she have succeeded in it, but only at the cost of butchering Prerna's character.

So, all these factors are overshadowing Pre's sacrifice and in turn is letting the neutral audience feel more for Anu. And to add to it, in the whole Swiss track, Parth has outshined his own performances till date, by perfectly emoting each and every emotion to its core, especially the angst. Which has pulled more viewers to talk in favor of him. I know many of my friends who watch KZK who are neutral viewers who are feeling very bad for Anu.

Having said that, i will never agree to people who say that Prerna is a weak character. She is impulsive and not sensible most of the times. But, I haven't seen an emotionally strong lady as her till this date. Just remind yourself about what all she went through from her father's accident till date. If at all it was you or me, we wouldn't have survived even half way through, without a mental breakdown. Also, she is no way inferior to Anu, when it comes to the extent she loves hear dear ones, evenif it is someone like Mohini who hurled insults at her. To forgive a person who has never left a chance to insult & harass you and your parents, you need a great heart and Pre owns such a heart. So, next time before you point a finger at her, think twice. 😎

Grace indeed good post, whatever the fandoms says or argue... Its always anupre for me..

I am erica fan first than anurag fan...

Want them either happy together fighting this kasauti of bajaj together or lead independent lifes without each hurting one another.

Whatever it is they are lovable bacchas for fans

But upset prerna is not fighting back she is just trying to be puppet in hands of fate.

Pari....i am not sure how the makers are going to take forward the story and whether we will get back our old AnuPre who innocently loved each other. But, being an old school person who believes in the Bible quote 'Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate' and prefers to stick to it, i will always be an AnuPreian. However i will continue watching KZK for Eri and to enjoy the performance of actors. That is it.😊

Grace first of all applaud you for a great post citing real life examples.

I like the way that you have written out the sacrifices and the reason people are sympathizing with Anurag and not Prerna.

To me AnuPre are one unit in this journey of love. In my opinion both committed one mistake in this journey they did not consider themselves one unit especially where it mattered that is communication. Lovers or husband and wife or partners are one unit and take important decisions as one unit too not one for the other atleast not big decisions. Small decisions we do tend to take for one or the other because we know the person so well so we know they wouldn’t mind but life altering decisions have to be as one and in this respect both Anurag and Prerna failed big time so how is this Love going to survive? Because Love with no effective communication between partners will not survive.

The writers are lazy and so they show the haphazard execution to create Kasautis. As far as the slaps a lot has been already discussed so don’t want to bring it up again.

Both Anurag and Prerna used sacrifice as a route one to save his family and the second to save her lover. In my opinion the first was showed to save a company and not a human life so for me sounded silly.

I think because of the characterization not being consistent in each track we tend to support one or the other.

Sorry for the ramble lol

Sabi....Thank you for the appreciation. 🤗

Bold - This is something i enjoy (especially during KRPKAB times) while making posts on IF. 1/7th part of my life, i have spent with my maternal grandmother from whom i had learnt many life lessons. I will say, her life has been more of an inspiration to me, especially during the days after my marriage. It had always helped me to think from other's perspective too. And so, i made it very important that our son will always be respectful and be connected with his grandparents (both paternal & maternal), even when he is away for his higher studies. Because, i believe today's kids being from nuclear families are mostly self-obsessed, that they think about themselves only. And on their very first failure, they start getting insecure and depressed. Instead of that, if they grow up listening to hardships of their grandparents and the lifestyles they had, it will help today's kids to be more grounded, mature and strong when they happen to be on their own. And i have witnessed it in front of my eyes. Our son who was being a pampered kid till he left us, really surprised us on how he got independent, mature, adjusting and understanding, from day 1 onwards of his new life. That is why i always try to incorporate my life experiences in my posts.😊

Agree with some of ur points, but not to the one in bold, Pre s breakdown is conveniently ignored by cvs, its not because she is strong.

I think this statement is pure assumption, we don't know the extent of people's fortitude, especially, the ones in the forum.
