Also notes on morality.
How do you decide which character is black, grey, or white without having gone through the journey? Even murderers change when the writing is solid af. And I've always found the subject of morality so tricky. Let's assume you do fall in love with someone when the power dynamic between you was wildly skewed. Which it is, between Bajaj and Prerna. Highly, uncomfortably so. But beyond that, you form a different dynamic as you change and evolve in love. So what basis do we have to then judge that love as phony, wrong, immoral or plain psychologically invalid? In the end, evolution matters. I'd agree that the subject of morality again makes a difference here because it's really important that the message, implicit and subtle, you dish out is right. But again, catering to a rigid standard of political correctness ruins the complex, fascinating motley of emotions and psyches humans experience on a daily basis.
OKAY YELO. BOHAT HI RANDOM HAI. Also This Bajaj is kind of different from my Bajaj. I wrote it post my first OS so I was still mulling over stuff and since the scene isn't complete and I hate it but parhlo.🤣
Been a silent reader so far. But this! This will make a dead man speak. You have so much talent. The chemistry between them is crackling. If the show could give me ten percent of this, I'd die a happy girl. That you've held onto this for so long without sharing is unfair. Such brilliance should be displayed to the world. Personally, I would read anything you write. Even a grocery list
you know you're talking about other friendships, its so annoying to always see on tv, the men initiating the "bedroom scene" and most actresses instead of acting shy ( which is again annoying) always give expressions as if they're in complete pain 🤣🤣 female desire toh kahin exist hee nahi karti!! women are just the sacrificial lambs bas that's their jobOriginally posted by: .amigos.
I've always found the whole act of 'rigidity' on the woman's part so obnoxious and regressive. I mean with every show, the girl falls for one guy, and doesn't even talk normally to the others. Like she won't laugh, flirt or joke with them at all. The friendships will be so so platonic, you'd dry up just watching.
I mean what's wrong with having fun with your guy friends? Or having good equations with other males? What's wrong with having a rapport and you know having a life beyond the male lead?
Read Amigo's os on pg 16 of this thread
I was talking about the desi tv and GEC shows. Even Pakistani shows cater to this mentality. Why does your partner have to fulfill every single role? And I completely agree! The passive woman. As if desiring your partner is the greatest act of moral corruption. UGH. Just a complete turn off.Originally posted by: najma123
Some shows have the heroines having male friends and shit. A lot of shows in fact. I'll tell you where it gets irritating. Especially during some sort of an intimate or consummating scene, the woman is shown to be so passive as if women have no desires whatsoever 😆 So annoying
It's not related to your comment as such but I saw some shirtless scenes and this and that on top, thought of this
ohmygod I just said the same thing....its such a shame that a supposedly female driven industry where women are the prominent features who drive the shows are subject to these characterisations and problematic representationOriginally posted by: najma123

EXACTLY WHAT I THOUGHT. It's so horrible. It's hilarious and ridiculous. You know I read some newspaper article on this years ago, women wear red sarees and quiver and breathe and do nothing else and just try shying away all the time. I wish someone were to troll this by making some parody where the guy actually just walks away after the girl does the whole Nahi Nahi shit 😆you know you're talking about other friendships, its so annoying to always see on tv, the men initiating the "bedroom scene" and most actresses instead of acting shy ( which is again annoying) always give expressions as if they're in complete pain 🤣🤣 female desire toh kahin exist hee nahi karti!! women are just the sacrificial lambs bas that's their job
