I dont think Prerna or her family has anything to do with Bajaj's past.

In the first AnuBaj meeting, Bajaj clearly says to Anurag that apart from business, you have nothing which I can snatch from you. We got a scene where he checks some files related to Anurag's professional/personal new developments, after which he says its time for the kill. I think this is where he understood what Prerna means to Anurag. Not to forget the second AnuBaj scene where he teases Anurag Congratulating for marriage and also reminding him that they are not yet married. I think by then he decided that he would marry Prerna or atleast stop her from marrying Anurag.

We still don't know whether this decision has anything to do with Sneha.
