Chapter 2:

"Miss Naina Agarwal mai sochta tha ki woh sidhi hai bholi hai par tum to badi smart nikli. Kyun nahi bataya mujhe ki tumhare pass FB account hai?? listening this she turned to the person calling her .

" Mr Sameer Maheswari agar bata deti to tumhari sachi dost kaise banti bas shart ke chakar mein mujhe request bhej dete .Isliye nahi bataya " she justified smiling at him.

" Tumhe pata tha shart wali baat ??" he asked a bit surprised.

" Haan suna tha jab tum discuss kar rahe the Munna Pandit ke saath. Sanjay meri hi school mein tha ,ek baar usne love letter bheja tha mujhe to mere gharwaloun ne rakhi bandvati thi pure class ke samne. So he knew mai aasani se kisi ko apna dost nahi banati. To tumse shart laga baita woh.." she chuckled.

" To phir mujhse kyun dosti ki, kya khas hai mujh mein? " he enquired

" Bas dil ne kaha aur phir tumne us din bus mein meri madat ki thi bina yeh jane mai kaun houn. Usi waqt mai jaan gayi ki tumhara dil bahut accha aur saaf hai. Ab interogation khatam to chale?"

" Wah itna analysis , dimag yahan bhi lagaya tumne" Sameer replied

"Dimag nahi dil lagaya. Dosti dil se hoti hai" she replied affectionately to him.

" Waise Naina ek baat kehna tha ,us din bus mein jab woh ladka tumhare saath battameezi kar raha tha tumhe usko wahi rokna chahiye tha. Do kaske laga deti. Aise darogi to kaise chalega har baar koi Sameer nahi hoga. Next time you will stand up and wont be scared vaada karo."

She placed her hand on his and said " Promise, pakka do nahi char maroungi " . He laughed at her reply and said " Accha ab college khatam to mere saath coffee peene chalogi, college ke bahar hi coffee day hai?

Looking at her watch she said " Haan thoda time hai,chal sakti houn par ek shart par, jo bhi kharcha hoga woh aadha aadha. Mai dosti ke beech mein paise nahi aane dena chahati"

He knew she was a very self made lady and agreed to her proposal.

" Waise ek baat mai bhi clear kardo, dosti apni jagah aur studies apni jagah. Is baar entrance exam mein tumse ek mark se haar gaya tha but in this semester I will be first. "

" Haan dekhte hai, ab tak you never had a competitor like Naina " she challenged him.

" Mai Expresso lounga aur tum kya logi . ?" " I will go with coffee latte" she replied. Sameer went to place the order and Naina finding a comfortable seating area kept looking around at the surroundings. A lot of the couples were sitting and chatting happily, most of them where from the college.

Sameer was observing her from the counter and once he returned asked " Kya dekh rahi ho"?

" Dekho na woh dono kitne pyar se apna milkshake share kar rahein hai. Pyar bhi ajeeb cheez hoti hai na? Naina said fondly looking at the couple sitting near to them.

" Tum woh menu aur price dekho, do milkshake lega to bill double hoga,isliye ek liya hai aur sharing is caring funda use kar raha. Kya yaar commerce student hoke profit loss equation samaj nahi aati tumhe" he said with a teasing tone..

" Par yeh bhi ho sakta hai na ki woh isliye share kar rahein hai ki jhoota khane se pyar badta hai"? she retorted

"Jisne bhi yeh line kahi hogi na sab se bada kanjoos hoga, logically aisa kuch nahi hota. Yeh jo jhoota khane se pyar badta hai, pehli nazar mein pyar ho jata hai sab bakwas baatein hai. Aur Yeh Jo Pyar mein dil zor zor se dhadak tha hai kehte hai na, simple explanation yeh hai , seeing your crush triggers an adrenaline rush. It also may trigger other chemical reactions, resulting in feelings of euphoria, or extreme happiness causing your heart to beat faster.

Tum batao kaun si movie mein hero aur heroine ek simple aur average looking type hoti hai? Hero bhi zabardast heroine bhi mast dekhti hai to pyar hona to banta hai na?

To sach yeh hai ki jo bhi pyar ,mohabbat ,ishq dekhate hai na movies mein ya log jo kehte hai " I am in love " , sab jhooth hai bas sabki koi na koi zaroorat hoti hai " Sameer ended up his justification .

" Yahi sach hai ! Accha tumko kya lagta hai pyar kya hai, last time itne demo diye the. Lets listen to your thoughts' he countered..

She had seen various shades of emotions in his eyes while he was arguing that there is no such thing as love. She knew he needed love but denied its existence .

Seeing her lost in thoughts he said " Dekho aaj to maine tumhe chup kara diya , tumhare pass bhi mere sawaloun ka jawab nahi ".

She just smiled at him and remained silent for few minutes sipping her coffee. " Mai kuch bhi kahoungi tum manoge nahi, pyar shabdoun mein nahi kaha jaa sakta bas mehsoos hota hai. Bas itna samaj lo jisse hum pyar karte hai unki khushi ke liye apni khushi chod detein hai. "

He could not understand this " Kehte hai Maa ka pyar sabse pure or unconditional hota hai par aajkal usmein bhi milavat hai. You are a good son if you excel in studies and fulfill all their expectations. Agar na karo to .." he just couldn't finish the sentence and went back to sipping his coffee..

She saw he had just opened up a wound deeply engraved in his heart ,to divert his thoughts she said" Tum itni kadvi coffee kaise peete ho?? Ek dum black, mujhse to nahi hota"

" I like black coffee or black tea , I think that's the real form . Mujhe usmein koi milavat nahi pasand. I feel milk takes away its real taste" he replied. Whether it was coffee he was talking about or love she could not understand.

" Chalo chaltein hai, tumhari bus aati hogi " he quickly got up as he felt she was reading him and seeing his darkest fears.

Holding his hand "ek baat kahoun? Tum pyar se darte ho,darte ho ki tumhare dil par kisi aur ka control hoga, expectations se darte ho, darte ho ki dil tut jayega. Ek baar apne darr ko bhula kar dekho duniya mein sabse hasin cheez pyar hai" she said calmly looking into his eyes with all the love.

He didn't answer her . Seeing his dilemma she said "chalo bus ka time ho gaya hai" ,they just walked silently to the bus stop.

She waved him and then boarded the bus. As soon as the bus started the same bunch of boys who had teased Naina boarded the bus. His protective instincts kicked in and he ran and caught the bus. He just kept a watch on her from the rare end of the bus.

The boy tried to hold her again when the bus just crossed the speed breaker , she moved swiftly making the boy to fall on his face and said " Arey aap to bahut gire huve ho !! , bus mein holders hai pakadne ke liye , ladkiyoun ko pakadna chod di jiye nahi to aise hi mu ke bal girenge " the guy got up quickly and was embrassed when he heard the crowd in the bus muttering against him. Sameer who watched all this had a smile and he feel content that she had stood up against teasing. He got-off at the next stop. She felt happy and thought to herself " kal Sameer ko sab bata doungi aur thank you bhi bloungi mujhe himmat dene ke liye "

Next day she met Sameer along with Swati at Canteen. "Naina yeh mere dost Munna and Pandit " he introduced them to her formally. "Haan dekha tha us din college ke gate pe ladkiyoun ko ched rahe the , yeh baat to galat hai na ?? " . Munna a bit embarrassed said lowering his eyes " Haan woh kuch ladko ke saath hum bhi galat kar rahe the ,baad mein Sameer ne khooob daanta tha hume aur un ladkoun ko bhi ". " tumne dekha hoga koi nahi rehta hai ab gate ke pass " Pandit added to it. The respect she held for Sameer rose multi fold on hearing this. She quickly introduced Swati. Munna said shyly" Yeh Pandit ko to mai school se janta houn " . " Haan is bandar ko mai bhi " she snapped back. "Arey chalo kuch khatein hai " Pandit tried to ease the silent war between Munna and Swati.

While heading back to Library , Naina narrated the bus incident of last evening to Sameer. Even though he had seen it , he listened to her patiently and watched how her eyes reflected a sense of self satisfaction. She had never stood up against anything wrong in her life. She had quietly borne the brunt of Taiji's taunts. She thanked him for making her realize the importance of standing up against teasing.

Few weeks had passed they both had known each other very well. How he tried to excel in everything so that his mother was happy and loved him , but always fell short of expectations when considered with Rohan . She replied to him "mai janti houn , tum kya feel karte ho " and told him how she tried to excel in all to please her father. "Agar scholarship nahi milti to yahan padne bhi nahi detein , kahin shaadi ho jati meri ab tak " . It was a heart to heart conversation that both had regarding their backgrounds, fears , expectations etc. That night both thought how easy and peaceful it was to share the pain and fear with each other.

"Kal kya kar rahe ho? , mujhe Aashiqui 2 dekhne jaana hai . Swati koi family function mein jaa rahi hai . Tum chaloge? . " she requested.

"Romantic Movie bilkul bhi nahi , agar koi action ya comedy hai to bolo chaltein hai " he replied.

"Nahi mujhe wahi movie dekhni hai , uske gaane bhi kitne hit huve hai . Thik hai mai akeli hi jaati houn " she said disappointingly .

"Thik hai tumhare liye aata houn , duphar ka show chale " ?? " Thannnnnnk you !!" she hugged him instantly , later pulling herself away a bit embarrassed she said "sorry woh khushi se !!" ,"Arey kuch nahi " he brushed it but it had made his heartbeat elevate . Many times girls had hugged him when he won cricket matches but he had never felt anything . "Why this time ?? Pata nahi ab kaun sa chemical reaction start huva hai jo dil ki dhadkan bad gayi ?.bach ke rahe Sameer " he mentally told himself.
