Hmm its the same in india.. we call it 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year 4th year final year etc. Bsc degree in sciences is 3years, Btech in engg is 4 years, law is also 4 years here. Medical everywhere is minimum 5 years. Arts and commerce also 3 years each.
