Deepika Padukone did it again- Magnificent at Cannes 2019

She went, she walked, she annihilated... Always controlled, measured, elegant and wearing what would overwhelm many others, she not only manages to pull it off but she makes it look easy. There are award shows and festivals galore, all around the world. Many talented celebrities famous in their own country or within a certain fan base. Some celebrities do great work but never venture out of their comfort zone, be it due to choice or simply because they are busy and satisfied. Whatever the motive a talent may have for not seeking a wider audience should be accepted, as no one knows their motives, however one thing is for sure; venturing out takes a combination of factors, talent and luck are just two factors, it takes much more, it takes courage and the ability to learn and accept that on a world platform they may be rejected for various motives or prejudice, critiqued for their choices or worse, ignored. It also takes smart use of opportunities and knowing when and what deserves effort. Cannes is the place to make a statement. I applaud Deepika Padukone because in fact she makes her statement loud and clear, in an ultra feminine and demure manner without the need to shout. I am here! You will like me or you may not, but you will know I am.

The best thing about her is that she does it all with tremendous dignity and grace and with a lot of honesty, that transparency is perhaps her best attribute, because it makes her natural beauty shine. Thru her eyes and her smile she conveys her message 'I am just a girl enjoying my self and gratefully doing my job' a posture that elevates her to regality and earns her a well deserved International Star status. I am sure that the smart and curious will search and find her films and her social activism work and discover her multi talents as well as the wide range of talent available in India.

She did well.She was also smart.She aced her Insta game.

The big green dress was so OTT..that everything else on the red carpet seems tame.The color she picked gave her major advantage this year.

Is this a joke? In the first RC look, she looked like the love child of Maleficent and Pennywise!

and in the second one....she looked like as if a thousands of parakeets puked all over her body collectively! and don't even get me started on that ridiculous headgear 😵
