95% of South masala action films from Ghajini to Singham to Rowdy Rathore are Hits. Shahid's R...Rajkumar was his biggest hit. Even Tiger's south remake film broke records. Even the dubbed films are doing well in TV and have taken over Hindi films. Salman has been doing them since 2010. Before that, he was not even in the Top 5 in last decade. These masala action films helped him get a Huge base in Single screens. And they r the reason why even his flop films are crossing 100 Crores.

Salman does not take stardom and success seriously and never underestimates his fandom. That is why he connects with the masses. His movies are true event films for bollywood where his fans flock to the theatres to just watch him onscreen. No one else can boast of such star power for now. Baaki sabko including Rajni had to have story, acting skills and substance in the movie once in a while. Salman ke liye bas uska hona hi kaafi hain.

Aamir and SRK think alot before taking up a project and also prepare alot which is needed. Salman doesn't care much. He acts well for half an hour and then he doesn't care to act. It is only business for him no passion to outdo himself.

Personally I believe he doesn’t always play that extra cheesy romantic guy. I ain’t talking about one person in particular but films like BB really connected with the audience and was for all ages. A whole family could go watch that movie. SRK needs to stop doing movies which are basically all the same. He needs to do something different which SK has not been afraid to do!

If only it was that simple - then NOT just Salman, but Other BW actors would have had such hits.This is way too 'out there' sorry.He has charisma- whether WE /YOU/US like him or not, he has a great connect with the public and knows how to use it.And it comes through.

Family audience. All his movies can usually be watched by families together, which is rare nowadays. And he has probably got the most loyal fanbase as well.. especially the male fandom.
