I hope you are sure of what you are getting into Mr. Raizada... Dr.Rahul stated while looking at Arnav who had not stopped staring at Khushi from the time he has seen her in that terrible state...

I know Doctor.. he replied still looking at her.. I am very much sure... infact I have never been this sure ever in my life..

Dr. Rahul sighed... its not as easy as it looks Mr. Raizada... we have been treating her since past many months and there has been no improvement in her condition and now you want to take her away from the clinic... its not safe for her..

She doesn't talk.. she doesn't recognize anyone... she doesn't react... she gets panic attacks as well.. you think you will still be able to manage...

Arnav heard each word of Dr. Rahul that pierced his heart more.. how did she reach to this level he wondered... am I responsible for her state.. did I push her so deep into misery

Doctor... I know and I accept whatever you said except one thing that she doesn't recognize anyone.. if not she wouldn't have shed tears when she saw me.. he said looking in her eyes.. which were staring blankly at the walls...

Ok Mr. Raizada... but as a doctor.. as her doctor I want to know.. how you are going to treat her.. or make her better...

Doctor you yourself know that such patients need care more than medicines.. they need love more than treatment.. and I know that is something my Khushi needs the most in her life now.. Arnav said lost in his thoughts... the feeling of loneliness... the fact to know that you are alone in this world is something that has made her reach here in this state.. I want to remove that thought from her mind.. I want her to know that she is not unwanted... she has friends... she has people who love her... that she is not alone in this world.. we need her.. he gulped his emotions... I need her...

Dr. Rahul was convinced on what Arnav said but still ... he knew its not that easy.. he has seen Khushi in her worst situations... but then he wanted to give it a try and hence agreed..

So Mr. Arnav... please doctor just Arnav will do.. no formalities.. Arnav said with a smile... I cant thank you enough for saving her and giving her a life.. when we didn't even knew where was she...

Rahul smiled... its our duty Arnav... moreover she is lucky that she has such good friends.. specially Ms. Lavanya.. who never missed to visit her.. I still remember the day when I had got her number from Khushi's mobile and I had called her.. the amount of happiness that was heard in her voice when she got to know that Khushi is safe was something I cant forget... but then when she saw her state after coming here.. it was like a pledge she took that she will never leave her side...

So as you said Khushi is not unwanted... she has people who love her... Lavanya smiled with tears in her eyes while hugging Khushi tight..

Nk gave a tight hug to Arnav... I am proud of you buddy... it takes a lot to take such a decision... I know with you by her side she will come out of it...

Arnav hugged him back with tears in his eyes... I hope Nk.. I hope she comes back to me... my stupid heart doesn't listen.. it still beats for her... it still loves her... only her... he said looking at Khushi...

After bidding bye to Dr. Rahul they all left to Delhi...

They were in the flight when Lavanya asked the question that was running through her mind...

Arnav where do you plan to take her... you know she can stay with me and you can come and visit her regularly... I promise I will take complete care of her...

Arnav smiled at Lavanya...I don't doubt that Lavanya... but I want her to be with me... I need to cure her with my presence... this time I will not let anything make me part from her... not even she herself...and I guess.. Sheetal would have wanted the same... she would be in peace if she knows that Khushi is safe with me... I couldn't give her the love she deserved... but atleast If I can give a life to Khushi.. I think Sheetal's sacrifice will get meaning and her soul would rest in peace.. he said closing his eyes.. all the while his hands were holding hers tight... he could feel numbness as is she was just breathing and nothing else... he doesn't know how long it would take for him to bring Khushi back to life.. but he will not fail.. he will give his everything to cure her..

But Arnav.. are you going to take her to Shantivan Lavanya asked...

Lavanya was shocked when and why?

It was Aakash Bhai's decision Lav... he didn't wanted Arnav to return to that house anymore... it had bad memories... moreover it was the same house where...

Where Sheetal lost her life.. Arnav completed... I don't want Khushi to go in that house again..

Thankfully Bhai took the right decision.. and you know NK.. they all are planning to settle back in India... and I am sure this will be a good change for Khushi.. She has always been deprived of family relatives... I am sure my family will give her what she has been missing in life... he said looking at Khushi who was sleeping soundly now...

Nk and Lavanya agreed... ya may be she will forget her loneliness... but will they accept her Lavanya asked not being sure... she knew what Khushi's decision had done to their lives...

Arnav smiled... I know your worries Lavanya.. but don't worry I have already informed them about my decision...

They agreed.. Ma.. I mean Mami said.. if I am happy then they are happy... infact Payal Bhabhi said they all will help in bringing khushi back to life... and I am sure my little princess can bring smile on anybody's face... Arnav said thinking about Jiya..

How is she Nk asked... I have not met her since long... I miss her...

Oh she has become one chatterbox... she did complain that NK chachu is not calling her now a days...

By the way when are you both fixing the dates.. Arnav asked...

Woh Arnav... No Lavanya... no more excuses... I am there for her now.. you need to start your own life... you have been there for her always.. now its my turn to take care of her.. and I will feel guilty If you still ignore your commitments... its long time now you all should start living your life... you both have been through a lot for us... I am grateful that I have such awesome friends in my life and I know you both will continue to be our side.. but now its your time... Me and Khushi both want to be a part of your wedding...

Lavanya smiled with moist eyes.. ok Arnav as you say... so Mr. Nandkishore... when are we getting married she asked grinning at him... he looked at her intently... kaho toh abhi hi Mandir chalte hain... lets go to temple now...

You desperate man... let Mom Dad come then we will fix dates.. she said smiling... Arnav smiled at this cute and fantastic couple and sighed turning to look at Khushi...

Hope happiness knocks their doors as well...

Arnav was not prepared for the surprise he is going to get at his new house... so when he reached the new Raizada Mansion.. he was shocked... his Mami was waiting at the entrance with Aarti thal to welcome them..

Maa.. aap log... how??

Will talk later... first let me do aarti she said and asked Arnav to come forward along with Khushi... Khushi was standing like a statue.. not realizing anything that is happening around her...

Nk and Lavanya were also surprised...

Arnav looked at her with moist eyes... thanks Maa... this means a lot to me...

Yes Maji... come Khushi she said while holding her hands... but Khushi flinched... it was like she was not ready to allow anyone's touch... but what surprised everyone was that her hands were tightly clasped with Arnav's and she was trying to hold him more tight as if she was scared of everyone else... this was the first acknowledgement he got from her and his heart did skip a beat...

Its ok Bhabhi... I will take her to room... Payal smiled its just next to your room Payal said...Arnav nodded his head and thanked his family for their understanding...

Chachu... his little princess screamed... hey little doll how are you he said while trying to pick her.. but then Khushi didn't leave his hands... Jiya frowned looking at the new member in their house... Chachu... who is she...?

She is your Chachi... Payal said from behind and Arnav looked at her with shock... Payal nodded her head in acceptance... that's the only relation I can tell her now Arnav...

Arnav himself was not sure whether he was ready for it... he knows that he still loves her.. but in the current state and thinking of what all happened in their lives.. he is still not sure whether he and khushi will ever have a future.. but as of now he just wants to take care of her... ensure that she comes back to life..

What is Chachi's name little Jiya asked... this time Arnav answered.. Khushi... her name is Khushi... ok.. so I will call her Khushi Chachi... Jiya exclaimed in excitement...

Sure princess... Arnav said and turned to Khushi to see the same lost expression on her face... sighing he took her to the room she was going to occupy...

Khushi... come... sit... she had still not left his hands... Khushi he called her softly... this is your room.. he said signaling to the room.. she still didn't raise her eyes... did you like it? He asked... hoping for some response.. but then it seems he was expecting too much... as she was still standing like a robo... it was paining him each moment to see her like this... Only thing was that she had still not left his hands which were holding hers...

He made her sit on the bed... Khushi I will send Bhabhi.. you.. you please change your clothes ok...I will bring some food.. Still no reply.. he slowly removed his fingers from her clasp... but then she stopped him finally looking at him and what he saw shocked him... her eyes were full of tears and a scared expression on her face showing her state of mind... she was scared to leave his hands... scared of being left alone... she wanted to speak he could feel that.. but words were not coming out of her mouth... he didn't knew what to do.. but Payal came as his saviour... Arnav you go and freshen up .. you will be tired.. I will take care of her...

But Bhabhi.. she is not leaving my hands... Arnav said being helpless...

Don't worry I will manage... you leave...

Finally Arnav unwillingly unclasped his hands and left the room without turning back.. lest he will break down..

Khushi... Payal called softly... Khushi again flinched and brought her knees close to her chest...

Hey don't worry.. I will not harm you ok... Payal said while softly caressing her hair... My Name is Payal... you can call me Bhabhi... I am Arnav's Bhabhi...

And your friend... you can talk to me... and I will be your side promise... she said while cupping her face...

Khushi looked at her... but didn't give any expression...

Later Arnav made her eat food... it was a difficult task for him as she was not even opening her mouth... may be her stomach would have given up and finally she ate few morsels...

Everyone got retired to their room... but Arnav was skeptical to make her sleep alone... though Payal suggested that she will sleep with Khushi.. Arnav didn't wanted to burden his family with Khushi's responsibility.. it was his decision to take care of her.. and he will see to it that he puts his 100% without bothering others... he had kept hers and his bedroom door open so that he can reach her immediately if she needs him anytime in the night... he made sure that she is in deep sleep before retiring to his room... while leaving he finally looked at her with yearning in his eyes... remembering their good old days.. how did they reach here.. whatever happened to them was something they both might have never imagined when they came to loving each other..

Love... this word seems to be a long lost dream now... will they ever reach that stage... as of now they are just trying to gather the broken pieces of their life he thought and finally left her room to have a sleepless night...

She was panting heavily... images of the time spent with her Di... with him.. everything flashing in front of her eyes... sleep was evaded long back... then there was a shattering scream... Di...

Arnav got jolted from his Sleep... Khushi he whispered... he ran to her room only to see her panting in panic.. Khushi.. he called and sat beside her.. Khushi what happened..? She was shivering with fear... her face was sweating badly... he slowly touched her shoulder to calm her down... Khushi.. relax...

What happened next took his breath away... she hugged him tight putting all her force... Di... she cried badly... She left me...She left me... She left me alone...

Arnav closed his eyes in pain and caressed her hair to calm her... Khushi... shhh.. relax... everything will be alright... her fists held his shirt tightly hugging him more..He... He too left me... He too left me.. saying so she cried more...

He was shocked on what he heard... who was she talking about.. what does she mean by... he too left me?

Khushi ... he called while pulling back to look at her face which was drenched in tears... she was looking tired... Khushi.. what... who left you.. whom are you talking about... she was not registering what he was saying... He... He... she murmured... He hates me... He left me... Why did he leave me... ?she asked looking at him... and the realization hit him hard... No... it cant be... she.. she is talking about him... She was mentioning him... what just happened... that means she.. she has not yet recognized me he thought... so many questions were running through his mind... he could see she was dozing off and made her lie on the bed... he decided to be her side lest she gets an another panic attack... he needs to talk to Dr. Rahul soon...

Next day when Payal reached their room to wake khushi... she saw the most peaceful sight... Arnav sleeping in half sitting position while Khushi cuddling to him like a lost child... they both were in deep sleep... she thought of coming later..

Arnav slowly opened his eyes and registered that he was not in his room.. he looked beside to see a sleeping Khushi cuddled to him in his arms... what a sight it was... wish this would have been a reality of their life... years ago how he had wished to wake up every morning and see her beside him...but then... no... he doesn't want to go that root.. what matters is she is here now with him.. in his house... all other issues can be sidelined... he doesn't want to analyze the dimensions of their current relation... in fact there is no relation in place.. what binds them now... is a thin thread of pain and longing and he wants to bring her out of that pain.. suddenly he remembered what happened last night..

He left her side to freshen up... he was confused... he needed to go AR.. there are matters that need his attention and he had promised Aman that he will come... but how will he leave her alone.. what if she?... He also needs to talk to Dr. Rahul...

At breakfast... Arnav.. hows Khushi.. Mama asked... Arnav was silent... she is not fine Mamaji... yesterday she got a panic attack at night... I had to stay back in her room to make sure she is fine... I need to speak to her doctor..

Mamaji gave him assurance that it will take time for her to recover and that he should not loose hopes..

Bhabhi.. I need to go to office.. But...

Arnav.. relax I will be with her don't worry.. me and Maji will not leave her alone... you can go and come back... if any problem I will call you sure... He thanked her by hugging her... you are the best you know that right...Payal smiled.. ya that I know.. she teased...

Bye princess... Bye Chachu...Jiya smiled giving him a kiss on his cheeks...

Hi ASR.. good to see you back... Aman said while giving a tight hug... we missed you..

Arnav smiled.. I too missed you all .. missed being here where I belong to AR...

How's Nikhil.. when is he joining back...

He has joined last month Arnav... after he was released from Jail he took a leave to meet his parents... he has brought them back to where he stays... they are fine...

Later they catched up on ongoing projects and other stuff.. once Arnav was satisfied and updated about his work... he made a call to Payal to check on Khushi..

Don't worry Devarji.. she is fine.. and looking better... you know your darling Jiya has made it possible.. initially she was scared to talk to us.. but Jiya didn't give up... she being a chatter box made Khushi comfortable with us... she just bathed and had food as well..

Did she talk... he asked...?

Payal sighed.. No... its like she has become mute.. but I feel that she is better than how she looked when she came here... atleast she is not distancing herself from us...

Arnav sighed...

Arnav you know right... there is a lot of patience required with Khushi.. Payal said in understanding...

I know Bhabhi.. its just that whatever happened last night.. I am bit worried and confused... let me talk to Rahul.. will come back soon..

Ok saying so Payal kept the call... Khushi.. she turned towards Khushi and said... you know who called...Khushi raised her eyes to look at Payal... it was Arnav... he was asking about you... I told our Khushi is perfectly fine... said Payal with a smile.. but Khushi didn't show any reaction...

Hey Arnav.. how are you? And Hows Khushi...

Doctor I called to ask something important.. you said Khushi used to get panic attacks.. can you tell me what exactly she used to say or react during that time..

What happened.. did she get one Rahul asked in worry...

Yes doctor ... yesterday night she got a panic attack... she cried talking about Sheetal.. calling her Di... but then what confused me is she talked about a He... as in something like He left me... I am confused whom is she talking about... I guessed that it may be... he gulped.. may be she is talking about me..

Its you Arnav.. she is talking about you.. Rahul said confirming...

Arnav closed his eyes... but then I am there in front of her... she was talking like she doesn't know me.. has she not recognized me?

May be... or may be she was in panic mode... whenever she used to get her nightmares.. mostly she used to call for her Di and cry.. but then one day.. she spoke about you... actually she screamed your name and woke up... next day we did a sleep therapy on her.. she was murmuring continuously in her sleep...

He left me.. He left me... He hates me... Why.. Why cant he understand that I too lost... I... why did he leave me alone...

These were the words she uttered.. first we didn't understand whom she is talking about.. but later Lavanya told me everything and that's how I came to know about her past...

Arnav she is still in her past shell..you need to make her realize that her bad dream is over and she has to move on in life and that you are there for her... Rahul said...

Arnav couldn't stay longer in office... he wanted to be alone... to think that he made her reach this stage by breaking her is wrenching his heart...

He wanted to meet her... tell her that he is here now and will never leave her alone ever..

Later he went to meet Sheetal where she laid peacefully... he cried his heart out and asked Sheetal to pray for Khushi .. to bring her back to life...

He reached home and didn't wait to eat anything even after Payal insisted.. he just wanted to see her...

When he entered her room he closed the door.. he wanted to be alone with her...

Khushi.. he called softly... she didn't look at him...

He sat beside her and took her hands in his... Khushi.. please look at me... don't be like this... you are killing me every minute... silence...

He couldn't help himself from hugging her and crying his heart out.. come back to me Khushi... I need you in my life.. I need you like never before...

He could feel her loosing weight on his shoulders and realized that she had slept... making her lie down on bed he simply gazed at her... she was not the old Khushi he had fallen in love with... this Khushi is weak.. vulnerable and broken...

He leaned to peck her forehead... I promise... I will be always with you.. in sickness and sorrow.. in happiness and good times...

He too lied down beside her.. taking her in his arms...

Later at night he could feel her shivering... she was murmuring something...and then he heard her scream.. Arnav...

He got up with her and held her tight... Khushi...

Arnav... Arnav... she was just calling his name without looking at him and he finally pulled her to him cupping her face.. Khushi I am here... look at me.. but she was still not in her senses... dammit Khushi its me Arnav.. look at me.. I am here.. in front of you... She finally registered her surroundings and looked at him... realization dawned on her... he was there in front of her... she wanted to talk say something... everything flashed in front of her...her past... his love.. his confession.. Sheetal's confession... she asking him to marry sheetal... sheetal writhing in pain in his arms... she blaming him for sheetal's death and finally the day outside the court when he bid good bye to her...

She cried... yelled and broke down..

Khushi.. please.. please look at me... please love... don't.. don't do this to me... he pleaded...

Why?... Why did you leave me?... Why... Why Arnav? Why?... saying so she collapsed in his arms...

Khushi.. he screamed...
