Chapter 68: And he returns will love
'IS THERE A PROBLEM?' Adi voiced walking to a quiet Geet and a wickedly smiling Sasha
'No I think we clarified all the misconceptions here, haven't we Geet?' Sasha prompted still smiling as if winning as Geet stepped closer with a look of determination
'Sasha whatever Maan and I share is none your business' Geet breathed agitated, someone had risen to the bar of her tolerance, breaking that in control demeanour.
'As for now get back to work before I sack you and believe me Maan would NEVER question MY authority' she didn't shout nor whisper as her right hand touched her heart in belief but everyone else quietened down, a pin dropped in shock as even grasps where muted in comparison to Geet's power and dominance
'You wouldn't...' Sasha rasped, scared maybe for the first time
'Try me' Geet smugly smiled repeating Sasha's words, very much rubbing the shocked Sasha the wrong way
'NOW GET TO WORK' Geet commanded louder looking at everyone, but no one moved until they froze hearing footsteps, as if already knowing who could it be but the next voice confirmed their suspicion.
'YOU'VE ALL HEARD WHAT MY WIFE ASKED, NOW GET TO WORK' Maan yelled and everyone ran to action, he then walked to Geet hugging her from the back while she still looked at Sasha as if wanting his attention on her too.
'Sasha you are demoted, ah ah not a peep unless you want to work as a cleaner here' Maan dangerously threatened kissing the side of Geet's face seeing Sasha surrender like a fish out of water. Geet however hadn't smiled nor shied with Maan's move, showing a totally different side of herself; revengeful and challenging.
'Don't mess with my Geet again' he spat coldly pulling Geet to his cabin as Sasha began to tear finally taking in the information of a demotion and the absolute embarrassment she faced a few seconds ago. Tasha and Nisha quickly looked away when she looked their way and then she immediately ran to her cabin as angry tears collected at bay.
'I HATE BULLIES' Geet breathed in angry
'I love you too' Maan laughed placing his hands on either side of her reddened face, she was still angry and maybe even hurt by Sasha's words
'You know she's lying right, I love you the most. Forget Sameera, I'd leave the world for you' Maan spoke in dedication and peace smiling as coy gained that perfect brand of his normal Geet, she shied pushing forward for a kiss while he moved back teasing her slightly.
'Maan' she complained stubbornly holding onto his collar so he couldn't move his head back however he still stepped backwards until she tied him down near the wall with a look of determination.
'Did you miss me?' he asked his little Geet now placing his hands on her waist as hers moved to his beating chest
'Hmm' she shied seeing him look like that, for the couple in the cabin the outside situation was completely forgotten right now, rather all they remembered was the long two week separation.
'No No, I believe we had a truce, you'd initiate the kiss until you don't trust me' Maan laughed seeing Geet's pouched lips as if waiting for him to take the lead.
'When did we plan that?' she fretted now trying to move away, she was angry; his wife and her emotions were only his
'Since since' he shrugged pulling her to the sofa, on the way he closed the blinds and the locked the door with a press of a button
'I don't remember such a thing whenever you want to get close' Geet complained sitting away from him against his protest
'Baby that was because my wife was shy but today, she's different. I like this new bossy angry wife' he winked as she faked anger looking away even when he itched closer so now his mouth found a spot on her curved cheek
'Maan we're at the office' she offered at last as his ministration increased yet he expected her to kiss him on the mouth first
'So we'll be done once you do what you promised' he forced her to turn his way, without any luck she pushed forward as he bend backwards until he lay on the sofa with her on top.
'I missed you' she kissed him, soft and slow while he held her like his life depended on it, 'I missed you too love' he whispered kissing back once she stopped.
Sasha sat in her cabin: confused and lost. How was to change the outcome? Could there be a way to secure her position? With that she tried Adi's number. He was after all the witness to the whole debacle. A little apologising might just win his confident, if anything Adi was a man of heart. She could even apologise a little.
'Ouch' she cried when he held down on her elbow accidently, only then had they been released from the grips of passion. Two weeks evoked deep longing.
'What happened?' he asked getting up and cradling her arm which turned slightly purplish in colour as her faced shone in bright tears.
'Sasha and I collided in the corridor' she whimpered seeing aggression enter his eyes, next he briskly walked to his desk still staring at Geet in worry, as the door unlocked and the blinds opened bringing in the realism of their office.
'Sasha come to my cabin NOW' he barked slamming the phone down
Sasha had just about gained her strength to call Adi, after all apologising to a colleague wasn't a thing she has done in the past. She hated saying sorry especially to people who she felt where inferior to her, and Adi was of source still a newbie compared to herself. However before she could pick up the receiver, a loud shrill broke the silence within her cabin. Only after answering had she realised the situation was unsavable. Maan was always an uncooperative boss, a man of his own actions.
'What do you call this?' he shouted even before Sasha could close the door, so people naturally heard the show inside. Maan had Geet's hand in his, delicately blowing wind.
'Don't bloody stand there watching, get the first aid' he screamed and Sasha found footing again running off to the corridor where the first aide closet was. When she returned, Adi along with others stood in solitude.
'Sasha you are fired for physically hurting my wife and insulting a company head' he said immediately before she could offer an explanation, next a termination appointment was thrown to her face, after someone directed her towards the exiting interview room where a termination letter would be written up. While walking away she watched the workers shake their head in shame and mock, at the corner Tasha and Nisha also stared however looked away when she looked at them in help. It seemed no one really cared to save her but could she blame them, she had taken advantage of her position and now all those advances were being repaid.
Geet looked at the very angry Maan, who let go of her hand once he smoothed it down with some ointment. He then walked to his table and came back with a pain killer and a bottle of water. Adi as requested stayed in the cabin however looked the other way, no wanting to come across as peeving. He obviously waited for Maan to start rebuking, and so it happened the next second or so.
'Adi I left my wife in your care, how could you allow her to be this hurt and never mind that, you hadn't even informed me?' he started parading the floor, too angry currently to notice Adi's shuttering to come up with an clarification.
'Maaan' Geet called signalling Adi from her seat, Hmm' he smiled and Adi looked shocked seeing how one cajoling voice of Geet turned serious Maan into a love sick puppy
'I fell not so long ago so Adi possibly couldn't let you know plus I feel Adi has done a fabulous job looking after me' she pacified winking at the reserved Adi, who fell back totally lost for words and Maan smirked immediately seeing Geet's attempt to diminish his anger. Geet' he called with affection as she shied understanding his tone
'Maan can we go to the hospital?' she asked when his gaze deepened, as if trying to say 'Gosh I love you so much', he walked ahead hugging her tightly whispering 'Sure we'll go to the hospital' into her long silky hair. Over his shoulder she coyly watched Adi look to the ground and awkwardly walk towards the door, and almost ran out the room.
'I'm glad he was wise enough to leave on his own' Maan brushed against Geet's heated lips making his intensions clear, next repeated the same loving words 'I love you Geet' into her mouth.
'Vicky you look good' Geet injected against the several complaints Meera threw
'Don't side with him Geet, he's way to careless. Just this morning he's had the surgery and look at him now Mr Superman wants to exercise' Meera mocked angrily walking across the hospital room, Dadi sniggered while Maan smirked flicking though a magazine, both sat at the sofa with Geet shooting glares from the bedside stool.
'He wasn't though, Meera wants wrong in just picking up a folk?' Geet reasoned now placing a spoonful of soup into Vicky's smiling mouth, a smile showing that Geet had him protected.
'Don't you dare, doctors have advised limited movement. THAT MEANS HE DOESN'T MOVE ONE SINGLE MUSCLE. If he wants to eat then I, dadi or you can do that, can't we?' she asked looking at Dadima almost in tears
'Of course beta' Dadima immediately encouraged making both Vicky and Geet sigh in lose.
'Maan what's the definition of limited?' Geet asked after several seconds, she waited until Meera sat down calming down a little
'I'll talk to the doctor' he walked away with a forced smile, no ways was he to enter the battle zone between two women making everyone else burst into a loud guffaw but Geet was the loudest.
It was much late in the night when Geet walked out the bathroom, there sitting on the bed was Maan waiting for her with a file in his hand. When he noticed her standing, he held out his arms and like that she entered into bed and into his arms, fitting like a glove.
'I missed you so much darling' he whispered into her hair
I' missed you too' she sang from his arms with a joyful smile. It felt nice to be in his arms again after so long.
'I was thinking to hand Sasha's position to you' he informed when she rested on her pillow and he continued typing unaware of her shocked composure, she then turned her body to his side as he completed the final task on the file.
'I'm too inexperienced for it' she immediately spoke sitting up
'Well you have me and the rest of the workers, plus Vicky should be back in a month or two' he pushed a lose strand of hair watching her node in negative
'NOPE Maan' she added vocally seeing him set everything to the side with an unhappy look, as if readying for the counter argument.
'Geet we planne...' he started off taking her hands into his, an pleasing attempt to coax his wife
'Before you start, I'd like to add that I have been thinking a lot since you've been gone, and we decided'
'WE?' he asked confused and slightly annoyed, he liked working with Geet. Actually he loved having Geet around
'Me and Dadima, Meera also pitched in' she added
'I seriously don't like working at your company'
'OURS' he immediately corrected agitated
'OK ours, but I don't want to be there for the rest of my life. I want to try something new, something exciting, something I enjoy' she voiced determined.
'OK so what is it that you want to do?' he asked trying to cover the disappointment in his voice, ultimately he wanted Geet to be happy.
'You'll find out soon enough' she covered in gleam and he smiled despite the eagerness to know, after all Geet was one stubborn woman especially when it came to her decisions.
'I suppose all I can say is fine' he joked lying down and taking her with him, her soft face rested on his chest
'Dadima was saying Sameera is going well with her pregnancy and that Adeel is really taking care of her' he said changing the topic and she hummed, very much aware of the relationship change in Dadi and Sameera; both kept in contact and were even cordial; Dadima fondly advised and Sameera eagerly listened; Adeel in all this remained away.
'Do you think Vicky would be home soon?' Geet asked next sleep taking over
'Hmm I reckon 2 weeks tops' he added closing his eyes, he felt her soft breathing against his heated skin feeling good
'But no playtime Geet, I'm serious he needs time to recover' He added as an afterthought remembering how they played games at the hospital; Paper basketball' they called it, with the help of a spoon both threw tissue balls into a paper bowl although Meera fretted however said nothing seeing both of them happy.
'When do I ever play games, it's always him' she whined like a child, sleep slowly consuming her fully
'I love you Geet' he said when he presumed she was a sleep, the silence in the room was comforting the ache that appeared in the two weeks away from her.
'I love you too' she whispered even in her sleep and he smiled, it was good to be home. Home was when she was in his arms, where she ultimately belonged.
