Today was the day of Bela and Yuvraj's wedding. Bela was getting ready in her room, when she heard the knock on her door. She opened the door to see Mahir standing there with a smile. She smiled in response and stepped aside to let him enter the room.

Mahir smiled at her complimented her, "Bela, tum bahut khoobsurat lag rahi ho, bilkul ek pari ki tarah (Bela you are looking absolutely gorgeous, just like an Angel). Bela laughed and said, "Kya Mahir Ji aap bhi ek toh main yahaa itni nervous hoon aur aap mujhe chida rahe hai (Mahir Ji please I am so nervous and you are teasing me). Mahir took hold of her shoulders and said with a small smile, "Bela main sach keh raha hoon, aaj tumahar dulhe ki nazar sirf tum par hi hogi (Bela I am telling you the truth, today your groom's eyes will be only for you) Bela blushed then her gaze fell on Mahir's left hand and she saw his watch was not tied properly, she took hold of his hand and tied his watch, all the while Mahir looked at her silently.

"Mahir Ji next time please tie your watch properly

Sumitra and Andy brought the groom downstairs and made him sit in the middle. Bela was brought by Kuhu and Anu. She smiled at Yuvraj and sat down beside him. The priest started chanting the mantras.

Bela was looking at Yuvraj all the while but he was just gazing at the fire, she frowned looking at him, as h was wearing a Sehra while her own face was not covered. Suddenly her gaze fell on his hand, precisely his watch. His watch was same as Mahir, Bela thought that maybe they bought it in pair. She suddenly remembered that she has not seen Mahir at all and looked here and there but Mahir was not seen anywhere. She asked Sumitra, "Maa where is Mahir Ji, Sumitra looked tongue-tied for a second but said that maybe he is busy in something. Bela was not satisfied but she nodded her head and concentrated on the rituals.

Suddenly a gust of wind caused Yuvraj's Sehra to move and Bela saw Mahir sitting with her instead of Yuvraj, she stopped shocked still, with trembling hands she removed the Sehra from his face and said "MahirJi. Sumitra closed her eyes in regret.

~~~~~Flashback~~~~~

Mahir entered inside Yuvraj's room, where Sumitra and Andy were already present, looking tensed and wary. Seeing Mahir, Sumitra hurriedly went toward him and asked, "Mahir, tumne Bela se baat ki? Usey bataya ki Yuvraj shadi se bhaag gaya hai ( Mahir have you talked to Bela? Have you told her that Yuvraj has ran away from the marriage)

Mahir shook his head and said, "Maa who itni khush lag rahi thi main aise kaise usey bataa deta ki uska dulha usey uski shaddi ke din chhod kar chala gaya (Maa she was looking so happy how could have I told her that her groom has ran away on their marriage day)

Sumitra sat on the bed and covered her face with her hands, she looked towards Andy and said, "Ab kya karenge hum, niche itne mehman aaye hai, hamari naam, hamari izzat aur Bela main usse nazre kaise milaungi (Now what will we do, there are a lot of people downstairs, our anme, our prestige and Bela, how will I face her)

Mahir took hold of her and said, "Aisa kuchh nahi hoga Mom, jaiye aur jakar taiyarian kijiye, Bela ki shaadi hogi aur Sehgal khaandan ke bte se hi hogi (Nothing like that will happen Mom, now go and make everything ready, Bela will get married today and that too with Sehgal family's son)

She looked at him in confusion and said, "Par Mahir Yuvraj toh (But Mahir Yuvra) Mahir held her hands tightly and said, "Main karoongi Bela se shaadi (I will marry Bela) Sumitra was about to say something but Andy shook her and told Mahir to ready to get ready.

Mahir dragged Bela to his room and closed the door firmly behind him. Before Bela could even open her mouth, he placed a hand on her mouth and told her to keep quite. Bela looked at his serious eyes and blinked in response. Seeing her like that Mahir removed his hand and took her in his embrace and said, "Bela main jaanta hoon ki tumhare dimaag mein iss waqt bahut sawaal ghoom rahe hai and I know ki mujhe tumhe pehle hi bataa dena chahiye tha ki Yuvraj bhaag gaya hai par jab main tumhe bataane tumhare kamre mein aaya ta tum itni khush lag rahi thi, meri himmat hi nahi kuchh kehne ki (Bela I know right there are a lot of questions revolving in your mind and I know I should have told you beforehand that Yuvraj had ran away. I had come to inform you that but you were so happy, I couldn't.)

Bela pushed him away from and then only he noticed that she was crying, "Mahir Ji apne mujhe samajh kya rakha hai, agar ek bhai ko shaadi nahi karni toh kya hua, doosre bhai se kar dete hai, yahi socha naa apne? Nahi karoongi main apse shaadi ( Mahir Ji what have ou thought of me? If one brother doesn't want to marry, second brother is there, this is what you thought right? But I won't marry you)

Mahir's eyes became hard after hearing her refusal to marry him. Bela was about to open the door when a hand held her wrist tightly and she was spun around. She looked at Mahir's hard expression and the protest died down in her throat.

Mahir held her shoulder's tightly and said, "You don't want to marry me? Fine !!!! Don't but what about your Baba? Have you even thought what will happen to him when his daughter's marriage will be broken on her marriage day

Mahir's words shook her so much that she started crying. Mahir looked at her in tears and cursed himself. He loosen her hold and took her face between his palms and rubbed her tears.

"Shhh... Baba I am sorry I shouldn't have shouted on you

She let out a loud hiccup and asked, "And what if you left me too?

"Bela listen to me, I know that you were supposed to be married to Yuvraj and he ran away but I promise you I won't leave you, hell if you tried to leave I will get you back to me screaming and kicking

Hearing this Bela let out a small giggle and said, "Ok I will marry you Mahir took a sigh of relief and told her, "Now go and wash your face you look horrible like this Bela started hitting him, he stopped her and said, "Ok Baba, I am sorry, now go and get ready everybody is waiting for us downstairs.

Bela got ready, Mahir took hold of her hand and led her out. He looked at Sumitra and nodded at her with a smile. Anu was furious and was about to move forward but Mahir's one glare was enough to stop her in her tracks. They both sat in the mandap and Mahir signaled the priest to start the rituals. Bela looked at her father and blinked at him in assurance. Mahir looked at Bela with a small smile and pressed her hand softly assuring her and she smiled back. They both stood up for the Pheras.

Bela: dhanam dhanyam pade vadet meaning " I am responsible for the home and all household, food and finance responsibilities

Mahir: "om oorje jara dastayaha, meaning Together we will protect our house and children'

Bela: "kutumburn rakshayishyammi sa aravindharam, meaning I will be by your side as your courage and strength. I will rejoice in your happiness. In return, you will love me solely'.

~3^rd Vow~

Mahir: "om rayas santu joradastayaha meaning May we grow wealthy and prosperous and strive for the education of our children and may our children live long.'

Bela: "tava bhakti as vadedvachacha, meaning I will love you solely for the rest of my life, as you are my husband. Every other man in my life will be secondary. I vow to remain chaste'.

~4^th Vow~

Mahir: om mayo bhavyas jaradastaya ha meaning You have brought sacredness into my life, and have completed me. May we be blessed with noble and obedient children'

Bela: "lalayami cha pade vadet, by which she means, I will shower you with joy, from head to toe. I will strive to please you in every way I can'.

~5^th Vow~

Mahir: om prajabhyaha santu jaradastayaha, which means You are my best friend, and staunchest well-wisher. You have come into my life, enriching it. God bless you'.

Bela: arte arba sapade vadet or I promise to love and cherish you for as long as I live. Your happiness is my happiness, and your sorrow is my sorrow. I will trust and honor you, and will strive to fulfill all your wishes'.

~6^th Vow~

Mahir: "Rutubhyah shat padi bhava which means Now that you have taken six steps with me, you have filled my heart with immense happiness. Will you do the kindness of filling my heart with happiness like this for all times?

Bela: "yajna hom shashthe vacho vadet meaning I will always be by your side'.

~7^th Vow~

Mahir: "Om sakhi jaradastayahga, by which he proclaims We are now husband and wife, and are one. You are mine and I am yours for eternity.'

Bela: "Attramshe sakshino vadet pade, which means As God is witness, I am now your wife. We will love, honor and cherish each other forever.'

Sumitra welcomed Mahir and Bela with a smile and did the Aarti. She told Bela to kick the rice bowl with her right foot and enter the house. Bela kicked the rice bowl and it hit a vase causing the vase to be shattered in pieces. Bela bit her tongue and sheepishly smiled at everyone. Sumitra laughed and said...

And all burst into laughter, even Mahir smiled, Sumitra looked at Mahir smiling looking at Bela and thought, "Shukar hai Bhagwan aapka, aapne mere bte ko khush hone ki wajah di, mujhe poora yakeen hai Bela mere Mahir ko hamesha khush rakhegi." (Thank you God! You gave my son a reason to be happy, I am sure Bela will always keep my Mahir happy.)

Looking at everyone smiling and laughing Anu felt a pain in her chest and said...

Anu ~ Kamaal hai Bela abhi tumne ghar mein parvesh bhi nahi kiya aur abhi se nuksan hoen shuru ho gaya. Jo vase tumne abhi todha hai naa voh 5 lakh ka hai ( Wow Bela, you haven't even properly entered the house yet, and you caused a huge loss. The vase you broke is of 5 lakhs.)

Hearing Anu's taunt Bela's smiled vanished from her face. Seeing all this Mahir glared at Anu with such an intensity that if his eyes had lasers, Anu would have been 6 ft. under.

Mahir ~ Anu tumhe nahi lagta ke tum ek chhote se vase ke liye bahut jyaada tension le rahi aur vaise bhi Bela, Mahir Sehgal ki Biwi hai who aise hazaaro vase afford kar sakti hai (Anu don't you think that you are taking too much tension for a vase and Bela is Mahir Sehgal's wife, she can afford thousands of vases like this.)

Mahir's words were like slap to Anu, the Mahir Sehgal who never tolerated any mistake is his unwanted bride's side who had broken his favorite vase. After casually insulting her, Mahir ignored like she didn't exist and turned to Bela. He held her shoulders lovingly and said, "Don't worry Jaan! This vase was old, atleast it was useful for your football practice." Bela blushed hearing Mahir calling her Jaan in front of everyone.

While others were shocked, when Anu taunted Bela and Mahir retorted they thought that he was trying to protect Bela against Anu and will scold her after as it was his favorite vase, but instead if scolding he is acting as if Bela just broke an useless plate and not his favorite vase. Sumitra remembered the incident when she accidently collided with the same vase, Mahir was upset with her and didn't talked to her for the whole day, but with Bela he didn't say anything.

Sumitra smiled at them and took Bela with her to the room, when Mahir asked that where she was taking her. She just winked at Mahir and said, "Arey Mahir beta tum itna tension mat lo, main tumhari Biwi ko sirf tumhare room tak chhodne jaa rahi hoon." (Don't worry Mahir, I am only taking your wife to your room.) Mahir smiled sheepishly at her.

Sumitra took Bela to Mahir's room and made her sit properly on the bed. She herself took a seat next to Bela and held her hand in her both hands.

Sumitra ~ Bela beta main jaanti hoon yeh shaadi jin haalato mein hui tumhe adjust karne mein time lagega. Yuvraj ne jo tumahre saath kiya uske liye main bahut sharminda hoon, par mera yakeen maano Mahir aur Yuvraj mein jameen-aasmaan ka fark hai. Mahir dikhata nahi hai par woh apne parivar ki bahut fikr krta hai. Woh tumhe bahut khush rakhega. (Bela I know in the circumstances that this wedding took place, you will take time to adjust. Mahir was going to enter his room but in mid Anu stopped him and took him to the study room. She locked the door and hugged him tightly. But was soon pushed away by Mahir, who gave her a disgusted look. He was about to leave, when she held his hand and said, 'Kya hua Mahir tum aise kyun behave kar rahe ho, just because tumhari uss Bela se shaadi ho gayi. Tumne pareshan hone ki koi zaroorat nahi hai, main jaanti hoon ki tumne yeh shaadi sirf Sumitra Aunty ke kehne pe ki hai, warna tum uss Bela ko dekhte bhi nahi... I know that you got married to her, just because of Sumitra Maa, otherwise you wouldn't even have looked at her.) she was unable to continue more as Mahir had gripped her throat in his right hand tightly.

Mahir looked at her with bloodshot eyes and whispered menancingly, "Kya kahaa tumne? Ek baar phir kehna. ajj toh tumne yeh bakwaas karli, par meri baat dhyaan se sunlo Anu Mittal, maine Bela se shaadi apmi marzi se ki hai, khud ke liye ki hai, kisi aur ke liye nahi.Agar maine dobara tumhare mooh se Bela ke liye ek bhi galat shabad suna, mujhse bure koi nahi hoga, aur tumse jyaada yeh baat ache se kon jaan sakta hai?" Mahir was about to open the door of his room but was again stopped by someone. Kuhu was standing in front of him with her both hands on her waist, "Kya bhai itni bhi kya jaldi hai apni Biwi se milne ki,apni behan ka bhi toh sochiye" (What Bhai, what is so hurry to meet your wife, think about your sister also), Mahir looked her amusedly and placed his wallet silently in her hands and said, "Jitna chahiye le lo" ( Take as much as you want). Kuhu looked at him poutedly and said, "Kya Bhai itne kanjoos ho aap, mujhe paise nahi chaiye" (Bhai you are a miser, I don't want money),

"Then what do you want?"

"Aap ki Car"

"Done"

"Aap itna jaldi kaise maan gaye? Woh car toh aapki favorite hai" (How did you get ready so easily, that car is your favorite)

ahir looked at her boringly, he placed the car keys in her hand and left her standing in shock.

Mahir entered in his room and locked the room immediately ((Bechara soch raha hoga koi aur naa aa jaaye kabab mein haddi ban ke)

He saw Bela sitting on the bed with her face covered with veil. She was the most beautiful bride he has even seen HIS BRIDE, he moved towards her and sat on the bed in front of her.

He removed her ghoonghat and saw her looking at him angrily. He looked at her confusingly and said, "What happened Bela?"

Bela looked at him angrily and started beating him with the pillow and said in between, "What happened, aap mujhse puchh rahe hai, aap ko pataa hai main suabh se bhukhi hoon, kuchh bhi khaaya maine. Main kab se aapka wait kar rahi thi, aur aap hai ki itna late aaye" (What happened? You are asking me this. You know I am hungry since morning, I haven't eaten anything. I was aiting for you since so long and you came so late.)

Mahir took the pillow from her hands and threw it in a corner. He turned towards Bela to see her sniffering, tears were ready to fall down. He took her face in his hands and rubbed her tears. He couldn't stopped himself from kissing on her cute button nose, which had gone red from crying.

Mahir ~ Ssshhh... Sorry Bachha, mujhe nahi pataa tha ki tum mera wait kar rahi ho, varna main kabhi tumhe wait nahi karwata. Achha batao tumhe kya khaana hai? (Sorry Baby, I didn't knew you were waiting for me, or I would have come early. Ok tell me what do you want to eat?)

"I want Pizza"

"PIZZA !!!! Where would I get a Pizza right now?"

ela looked ready to cry again, Mahir hurriedly nodded at her and they both got ready to go out.

And that's how LADIES and GENTLEMAN, The GREAT Mahir Sehgal spent his wedding night by eating Pizza at Dominos with his Mrs. Bela Mahir Sehgal.
