How to add a border

I am using a picture to show you (just imagine I used that animation😆)

this is the picture I am going to use

I used the rectangular tool

and selected the part I want the border.

and then I clicked on the button on the bottom of layers which is marked on pic below.

and selected "Solid Color" and added the color black

and then clicked on OK and made the Solid Color Layer "Soft Light".

you can even make it "Lighten" or "Overlay" just the way you like it.

You can even easily change the color by double click on the color.

double click on the marked place and then you can change the color and make it for example white. Then you'll have a light border.

Lighter border looks like this:

Hey guys!

You can ask me any questions you want to!

I know Photoshop the most yes... but I know Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign aswell as Sony Vegas.

I can do Tutorials on these programs. I am working all day with Adobe suits and at nights when I come back from work, I work with Photoshop. 😆 So, 24/7 working with Adobe suit.. and yeah.. Sony Vegas isn't from adobe but I know it aswell. I do cut my videos with that program. If you want to get learn or get started or are interested for any program, just lemme know your request or suggestions! I would be glad to help you all with my Tutorials!

i tried with timeline then its working with smart filter but now when i press play button of action i have to select ok of each action. do we need to do like that while using action?
