awesome double update so finally plan in place one is determine to win his ;love back while other decidced to move on as arnav has started to ignore kkhushio who didnt liked his ignorance not to mention his closeness with her sister lavanya was undigestible to her she didnt know why she was jealouus of her own sister madam convienetly forgot that she had rejected arnav breaking his heart while maan on totally differnt planet he is openely flirting with geet even told he will win her heart though geet was likinh his new avtar but somewhere wass still nervous but feelings are erupting in her heart as she cant stiop herself thinking about maan and his flirtings doing all sorts of mushy things in her heart

CHAP 24. ROMANCE AND ANSWERS

Next day dawned with excitement amongst two hearts and anguish amongst the other two. Maan was excited to begin his next attempt to woo Geet and Geet was excited to see what would be Maan's next move. Meanwhile Khushi was sad because Arnav seemed to be angry with her and Arnav was sullen because of the last day's events.

But something happened that left the Raizadas shaken. Geet got a threat note that morning before she left to work from her brother, Brij about harming her. Despite the fact that he was in jail and there were bodyguards around them, Arnav and Aakash got overprotective around them till the cops could determine that the threat was fake.

Arnav decided to start picking up and dropping Geet again and the family was ok with it. Geet was more than happy as Arnav's first option was to ban her from going to work till all this was sorted out. Geet was relieved when that plan was scraped. She didn't realise till then how eager she was to see what Maan had planned to win her over.

Rest of the family members were also banned from going outside without the men of the family. The Khuranas were told to be on guard too as they were related to the Raizadas and could be targeted to indirectly harm Geet. Anjali reminded the family that Paayal was also family and that meant Guptas needed to be careful too. Arnav sent some bodyguards to be around the family and Anjali ordered him to pick and drop Khushi to work. This made Arnav even more sullen but he agreed.

So that day no one left for work making Geet pout, Maan growl, Arnav feel relieved, Khushi feel disappointed. Next day saw Arnav arrive in his car in front of Khushi's house with Geet in the passenger seat. Khushi joined in the back and felt annoyed when Geet greeted her but Arnav didn't. Yeh pehli bhi aisi hi akadte the aur ab bhi! Par kyun? Khushi wondered. She couldn't understand why Arnav was so rude with her from the start when he was so sweet with everybody.

Soon they reached the Khurana Constructions with nothing but silence in the car. Khushi and Geet got down and Geet waved to her brother and walked off. Khushi also turned to say bye to Arnav only to see him drive away. Yeh aise kyun hain, Devi Maiyya? She wondered as she walked away with a pout.

Geet reached Sasha's cabin eager to start working and forget the threat only to stop short at a teddy on the table. She picked it up, "How cute! She grinned and looked at it closely. Her eyes widened when she saw a card on it saying, "I know tumhaara kal bahut hi bura gaya! Yeh ek chota sa gift, meri taaraf se, ek choti si koshish, tumhaare chehre pe smile laane ke liye! From Maan to Geet! Geet hugged the teddy as she felt her heart beat build up, "Ok! Mr. Khurana! I am impressed. Points to you on your first attempt. Lekin har waqt itna aasaan nahi hoga! She smirked and then giggled as her eyes fell once again on the teddy. She didn't notice the blinds of Sasha's cabin being open or Maan looking through it and smiling. My plan worked! Go Maan!

Sasha came in in the next moment and Geet joined her for work but not before carefully placing the teddy in her bag. In few hours it was lunch time and Geet was about to go into canteen when Maan called her into his cabin. When she reached there, it was empty. She frowned. Mujhe bulaakar yeh kahaan chale gaye? She looked around and noticed a bouquet on his desk. She felt excitement bubble in her stomach as she stepped ahead eagerly and grabbed the bouquet. Red roses! My Fav! She resisted the urge to jump around in excitement. That's when she saw a note on it. Meet me on the conference room', it said. Geet got excited again. Ab kya Maan ne plan kiya hai?

Geet reached the conference room only to be shocked. The whole room was decorated in white curtains and there were bouquets of red roses arranged on them strategically. In the middle was a table of two and right in front of it stood Maan smiling at her.

"Yeh sab kya hai Maan?, Geet asked in surprise.

Maan shrugged, "Plan toh tha tumhein date pe le jaane ka! Lekin tumhaara toh ghar se nikalna manaa hai aur baahar lunch karna toh door ki baat hai! Toh maine socha kyun na Date ko yahin pe le aaun?

Geet couldn't believe this. Maan did all this for her? Her eyes filled up a little with tears and she had to blink fast to not let them fall. She waited with bated breath as to what Maan would do next. Her heart thudded as Maan stepped towards her and then brought his hand from his back and raised it towards her. It held another red rose. Geet took it with delight, "Aapko kaise pata ki red roses mere favorite hain?

Maan shrugged but his eyes were playful, "Yahi toh pyaar hai!

"Kitna cheesy line hai!, Geet huffed, "Ek dum filmy dialogue!

Maan chuckled, "Ok! So maine tumhaare AD se poocha!

"Aha!, Geet let out a laugh.

Maan looked at her sheepishly and then he started to laugh too.

That cracked the ice and Maan led her to the table. Both sat down and had their lunch, talking, laughing and spending quality time with each other. Geet was surprised that Maan didn't take this chance to flirt with her. She was also surprised that Maan's not flirting with her had her feeling a little disappointed. Why? Did she want him to flirt? Geet was once again shocked as she realised that the answer to the question was yes.

Lunch ended and Geet and Maan were back to their respective work but Geet couldn't stop thinking about Maan. The day ended and Geet joined Khushi to go home. Once again the drive home was filled with silence except when Arnav asked about the bouquet in Geet's hand. Geet bluffed that she bought it for her AD through internet.

That night Geet lied on her bed and grabbed the rose that Maan had personally handed her. She placed a kiss on it and placed it on her bedside. She then grabbed the teddy and hugging it she went to sleep.

Days passed and with it Maan's attempt continued. Daily there was something new for Geet at her office. Sometimes he gifted her some of her favourite chocolates and somedays it was her favourite sweet. Once he even got her earrings just because he saw it and liked it. One day she got wind chime, and then for three days small figurines and one whole week of festive snow globes from different parts of world. He even got her puzzle boxes. While gifts changed, one thing never changed on their daily routine. And that was them having lunch together. It was never elaborate as the first time but every day Maan ordered different dishes for them to try and they had fun tasting them and commenting on them. For Geet, this was the favourite part of the day because she got to know Maan better and spend more time with him.

If anybody at home noticed the increase on gifts in Geet's room no one commented as they thought it was Geet's way of dealing with the idea of a threat on her by her own brother. She bought gifts from internet for herself! And Geet let them believe that!

While Maan and Geet were happy with how their life was progressing, Khushi and Arnav were depressed. It had been four weeks since the picnic and Khushi didn't get a single chance to talk to Arnav and ask him the questions burning in her mind. She kept an eye on him everytime they were in the car together, she carefully noted his every action all the while hoping for one chance to ask her questions. As days passed and she didn't get her chance, she started to stop being chirpy and turned sad. Meanwhile Arnav was also not a happy camper. Being faced with the love of one's life while trying to move on was not good, it seemed. Arnav turned more and more morose as the days passed.

Finally a day came when Khushi got her chance to talk to Arnav. Arnav had come to pick Geet up from work but when she did not come down in next few minutes he went up to find her. He found her still working with Khushi standing beside her waiting for Geet to finish so that they could leave. When asked, Geet informed him that she will take time. When Arnav grumbled about it, she asked him to wait downstairs if he couldn't be patient. Arnav sighed but walked away grumbling about annoying sisters. Khushi realised this was her chance. Arnav would be alone till Geet came down. She could ask him her questions. She mumbled some excuse and ran off to the lift.

As Khushi entered the lift and the door closed, Arnav closed his eyes in annoyance. Oh no! No way! Not Khushi and her questions! And he was right. The next moment Khushi started bombarding him with questions.

"Kyun aap humse itni berukhi se baat karte hain?

"Aap humse humesha naaraaz kyun rehte hain?

"Boliya na! Aap chup kyun hain?

"Aap humein har waqt ignore kyun karte hain?

Her questions continued in the same vain and Arnav had enough. He growled, pressed the stop button of the elevator and crowded Khushi in her personal space. She felt her back slam the wall of the elevator and she realised that she was trapped in the elevator with Arnav. The same Arnav who was looking at her with anger filled eyes and clenched jaws. She looked at his rage filled face and gulped. She shivered when he slammed his hands near her face and captured her between his hands. Her breath came in short breaths as he spoke, "Tum jaanna chaahti ho main kyun tumhaare saath rude behave karta hun? Huh! Tell me! Do you really want to know? Do you?

Khushi was scared but she needed her answers. She nodded and he growled. He pulled away from her and stared her down. Khushi adjusted her dupatta nervously as she waited for Arnav to answer.

Arnav took a deep breath while trying to rein his anger. He glared at her and snarled, "Kyunki tum duniya ki woh ek ladki ho jo mujhe barbaad karne ki taaqat rakhti ho!

Khushi was taken aback by his answer but Arnav did not notice.

"I met you first time and I was attracted to you. I met you second time and I felt more for you. It was only when I came back to Dilli that I realised that you were affecting me. Aur main yeh kabhi nahi hone de sakta! Kabhi nahi! Jaanti ho kyun? JAANTI HO KYUN?

Khushi flinched at his roar and Arnav noticed it. He turned away from her and spoke up, "Kyunki yahi ehsaason ne meri ma ki zindagi barbaad kardi! Paagalon ki tarah ma ne papa se pyaar kiya lekin mere papa ne? Ek pal mein ma ki zindagi palat kar rakh di! Sab kuch tabaah kar diya! A tear trickled down his cheek which he wiped.

He turned around and once more caged Khushi as he stared into her eyes, "Isliye darta tha pyaar se! Isliye nahi chaahta tha ki mujhe tumse pyaar ho! That's why I was so rude to you! Lekin tum..., he whispered as he leaned ahead and placed his forehead on hers while closing his eyes, "You still entered my heart. Mera dil phir bhi tumne jeet liya! He took a deep breath and pushed himself away from her. He opened his eyes and noticed that her eyes were closed too.

"Aur phir maine tumhein propose kiya., Arnav chuckled making Khushi open her eyes, "Aur tumne wahi kiya jiska mujhe darr tha! Tod diya tumne mere dil ko! Aur ab saans lena bhi mushkil hai mere liye! He leaned on the wall opposite to her. "Lekin tumhein kya? Tumhein toh bas apne sawaalon se matlab!, Arnav sighed.

"Aur meri haalat toh dekho!, Arnav chuckled, "Tumne mera dil toda and I still love you! He didn't notice Khushi's eyes widening or her eyes tearing up.

"I love you so much that it is not even funny!, Arnav mumbled as he shook his head.

"Now did you get your answer?, Arnav asked as he looked at her, "I was rude to you because I was scared of exactly this, me falling for you and you breaking my heart!

The lift opened but Khushi and Arnav remained frozen. Suddenly Arnav spoke, "Go!

Khushi jerked up from her thoughts and looked at him wide eyed.

He nodded to the door, "Go!

Khushi looked at the door with hesitation and then back at him. He didn't look at her. She gulped and walked away. Arnav looked at her retreating back and sighed.

"You are walking away from me and I still love you!, he shook his head and got out of the elevator.

As Arnav reached his car something stopped him in his tracks. He looked in shock as Khushi sat in the front passenger seat of his car. She looked up at him and there was something on her face that made him walk towards the car and take his seat. There was silence in the car as neither knew what to say. Soon Geet arrived and they started going home. As Arnav drove them back, Khushi couldn't help but look at him constantly. It was as if she was seeing him in a different light and she couldn't look away. She had found answers to her questions and it had changed her total perception she had of Arnav. He changed from arrogant rude fellow to someone with a heart so gentle and so vulnerable that he wore masks and shielded his heart with anger to protect himself.

As Khushi saw Arnav in a new light, his whole proposal seemed different too. That night she realised that it was not his arrogance that made him place such a high handed proposal in front of her. He proposed her the way in which he knew to communicate; with his anger. But once she removed the anger filled words from his proposal, she saw the true proposal. He was just trying to show her how she had affected him and the reason behind why two people from two different worlds should marry. Because he loved her! And love was supposed to be enough to fight against all the inequality and differences between them, as far as he was concerned. And that's what he tried to convey to her in his bumbling manner. And she had misunderstood it and rejected him in the most violent way.

Oh, Khushi knew! She knew that it was not totally her fault. He was at fault too. Who proposes a woman by insulting her? But now she regretted how harsh she was when she rejected him. He was just an idiot who didn't know how to express his emotions. And she ended up shredding his heart into pieces. A simple rejection would have been better, right? The whole night she tossed and turned feeling guilty about the whole situation. Next day morning she decided to apologise to Arnav.

When Arnav dropped Khushi and Geet that day, he saw her throw a piece of paper on his lap. He frowned as he opened it. In it, it was written, Jab aapne humein propose kiya, toh humein aapke saath itni badsaluki se bartaav nahi karna chaahiye tha! Humein maaf kar deejiye! I am sorry! Arnav sighed and looked up only to see Khushi holding her ears standing a little far giving him a sad face. He rolled his eyes at her antics but nodded. He was treated with a big grin and she skipped to his car, shouted thank you at his face and ran away. He chuckled. Crazy girl! He drove off but not before seeing Khushi wave at him from outside.

Aww! Such a cute ending to the chapter! Finally the love story was taking another turn!

Maan is wooing Geet and Geet is happily falling for him.

Khushi finally understood ASR and Arnav finally stopped Khushi from nagging him.

Wonder what will happen next!
