Mahir remember meeting her eyes for the first time and feeling his heartbeat for the first time, remembered how good she felt in his arms. He looked at intensely and joined his hands absent-mindedly and got lost in his thoughts. Bela frowned seeing him so lost when sometime before he was fine and smiling, seeing her worried Sumitra side-hugged her and assured her and said that Mahir had a long flight and maybe he is jet-lagged and Mahir just nodded along with his mother.

The anchor announced for a couple dance and a romantic number started playing. Bela saw Yuvraj moving towards her and thought that he was going to ask her for dance. But to her shock and confusion he went behind and asked Vish for a dance. Yuvraj and Vish started dancing passionately, Bela saw this and felt humiliated that on her engagement day, instead of dancing with her, her to be fianc is dancing with another girl. Sumitra saw Bela's face and then at Yuvraj and Vish dancing closely. She placed her hand on Bela's shoulder and signaled Mahir to do something.

Mahir saw Bela's downturned face and felt a pang in his heart. He plastered a smile on his face and extended a hand to her asking for a dance. Bela was about to turned down his offer, when Sumitra urged her to go and enjoy herself. She took Mahir's hand and they went to the dance floor.

Mahir placed his hands on her waist and held her closely and strangely enough Bela who felt uncomfortable in her to be Husband's arms, felt secure in a stranger's arms, her to be brother-in-laws arms.

Mahir looked at Bela's face and saw her looking at the unknown woman and Yuvraj, who were dancing closely, too closely for a guy who's going to get engaged the very same day, in the same ceremony and that guy was dancing with his own company's investor. Mahir was confused that what was happening? Is his brother bind or something? That he was dancing with a stranger leaving his own fianc alone. He looked at Yuvraj and the unknown woman and how their bodies were practically spooning each other, he turned his head in disgust and looked at Bela, and saw he already looking at Yuvraj and Vish with tears in her eyes. And that was moment he decided that he didn't care if Yuvraj was Bela's fianc because he had hurt her, had brought tears in her eyes, and nobody can get away with hurting what is HIS. From this very moment, Bela was Mahir Sehgal's to be bride and that was that.

Mahir looked at Bela with a genuine smile and started cracking jokes with her, and in moments she was smiling with him, the tears in her eyes were replaced with cute smile on her lips. And looking at her smile Mahir knew that he would do everything to keep that smile intact on her face.

Bela laughed again as Mahir shared the fact that he was so scared of cats, that whenever he used to see cats he used to jump on his mom's lap. Bela forget all her worries and tensions of her impending engagement with Yuvraj and enjoyed Mahir's company.

She looked at him and thought that how can two brothers be so different, one was an ideal guy, polite, respectful and caring and other was dancing with another woman leaving his own fianc alone.

Mahir noticed her looking at him and asked that if there is anything on his face, Bela shook her head and smile at him. Seeing her smiling at him gave him an unknown satisfaction. Knowing that he was the one who made her smile automatically brought a smile on his face.

Soon the dance ended and the engagement ceremony started, first Pratham and Suhani exchanged rings and then it was Bela and Yuvraj's turn.

Bela made Yuvraj wear the ring and Yuvraj did the same, seeing this Mahir fisted his hand tight enough to draw blood, but he controlled himself because he knew if he did something right now Bela might misunderstand him and he didn't want that. So he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He opened his eyes and smiled at Bela who was looking at him.

Soon the function ended, everybody went to their rooms. Mahir was unpacking his bags when he heard a knock on his door. He opened the door and saw his mother standing there. He smiled at her and let her enter the room. Sumitra sat on his bed and he immediately knelt down in front of her. He saw her worried face and immediately took her hands in his and asked if she needs something.

Sumitra smiled at him and told him that she was worried about Bela. Seeing Yuvi's behavior today in the party and how he danced with Vish, leaving Bela alone was making her worried. Bela was a great girl. She didn't want Bela to get hurt when she was doing all this for her father.

When Mahir asked her what she meant by that, she changed the subject and told him that she has always wanted a girl like Bela for him...

Mahir smiled at her and thought that, "Don't worry Mom, Bela is made for me only and she will be your daughter-in-law but instead of being Yuvi's wife, she will be mine, Mahir Sehgal's wife..."
