Hello people! So sorry for being horribly late in updating. But one after the other, everything happening in my life led to this delay. So my jhand life is to be blamed!!
Anyways, here's the update. Hope you enjoy it. BTW, just like the show, yahan bhi SamAina filhal friends h, so keep your khunnas aside while reading this 😆
Part 10
"Bhai, maine suna tu friend zone ho gaya!" Jai came up to Sameer, as soon as he got time.
"Chup kar" Sameer snapped.
"Matlab tu sach mein friend zone ho gaya!" Jai exclaimed again.
"Meri aur uski dosti hui hai, Main friend zone nahi hua" Sameer clarified.
"Oh! Waise difference kya hai dono mein?" Jai crossed his arms against his chest.
"Difference ye hai, ki Naina doesn't believe in friend zone." Sameer quoted 'friend zone' with his fingers.
"Naina. Nice name" Jai smiled, but then confusedly added, "Tujhe dost banaya but friend zone mein nahi manti, ye kaisi tedhi ladki h?"
Sameer almost laughed at it. "Tedhi nahi, alag hai wo." he said, smiling slightly. "Shah Rukh Khan nahi kehta ek film mein, ki agar wo meri sabse acchi dost nahi ban sakti, to wo mujhse pyaar kar hi nahi sakti..." he reminded, while Jai nodded, "waisi hai wo."
"Accha, to ye tera pehla kadam tha use patane ke liye, haina!" Jai smiled knowingly.
"Nahi. Bilkul nahi. Ye dosti ekdum natural hai, use patane ke liye nahi." Sameer immediate defended.
"Oh! To tu friend zone hua ya nahi?" Jai scratched his head while Sameer face-palmed.
There in Naina's office, she and Swati were just staring at Preeti, who was unusually quiet today. She came to office, sat on her chair without any good morning wish or anything, and wasn't saying anything. It had been 5 minutes now. And Preeti being quiet for so long, clearly spelled danger!!
They were thinking of going to her, but saw the peon coming towards her. He informed her that Pandit had called her in his cabin.
"Subah subah sir pe chad jao mere" Preeti irritatedly hollered as she moved towards Pandit's cabin, stomping her feet.
"Oh no! Ab to Sir gaye" Swati feared while Naina smiled knowingly, "I guess nahi"
"May I come in?" Preeti threw the words in attitude, not even looking at Pandit. He asked her to come in and she stood in front of his table, crossing her arms, continuously tapping her foot on the floor.
"Miss Preeti, umm.. This.. is for you" he pointed towards a small bouquet of white tulips kept on his table. Her anger turned to confusion, "Mere liye! Kyu?"
"Umm.. Sorry bolne ke liye" he confessed and her eyes widened in shock.
"I know aap kamchor h, childish h, ziddi h.." he continued while she muttered, "what an apology! Slow claps!"
"But Miss Preeti, you're one of my best employees and.. I'm sorry for that day. I misunderstood you." he stood up, picked up the bouquet and presented it to her.
Preeti was utterly surprised but smirked slightly, "OK, I'll forgive you. Lekin meri kuch shartein h"
Pandit narrowed his eyes but then sighed, "of course, kyuki galti meri thi. So yeah, say"
"OK, so you won't get angry on me"
"Ok"
"Mera workload kam hoga"
"Ok"
"Mujhe 15 minutes late ana allowed hoga"
"Wo to aap waise bhi ati h. So, ok"
"OK then, this bouquet is mine. Maaf kiya" she took the bouquet from his hands, spun on her heel and left.
Naina and Swati saw Preeti come out of Pandit's cabin, with a bouquet in her hand and a triumphant smile on her face. While Swati was clueless, waiting for Preeti's explanation; Naina had guessed the probable happenings inside the cabin and she smiled.
"Sir ne maafi mangi! Tujhse! Sacchi!" Swati tried wrapping her head around what she just heard from Preeti.
"Maafi to mangni hi thi. Galti unki thi." Preeti shrugged.
"Waah, kya accha time chal raha h! Sir ne tujhse maafi mangi, Meri aur Munna ki fourth anniversary ane wali h, aur Sameer aur Naina ki movie date. Mazaa aa gaya" Swati excitedly blabbered, while Naina gave her an impossible look, "Date nahi hai yaar"
It was Sunday, both Sameer and Naina were ready for the movie. They were leaving when Shalu aunty asked, "kahan ja rahe ho tum dono?"
"Aunty, hum dono movie dekhne ja rahe h" Sameer answered her.
"Oh, tab to shayad lunch kar ke hi aaoge. Accha h, husband-wife ko aise kabhi kabhi bahar jana chahiye, lucky ho tum Naina. Kadar karna apne pati ki, warna aajkal ki wives to..." she trailed making Naina roll her eyes, Sameer giggle, and her husband shake his head.
After reaching the movie hall, they waited for Munna and Swati, as Munna had the tickets for four of them. Munna and Swati came and four of them went inside. When they searched for their seats, they had got corner seats in one of the last rows.
"Munna, ye kya h? Piche ke rows.. Corner seats!!" Naina asked perplexed.
"Ab discount mein to yehi mili thi" Munna innocently replied. Swati looked at him with a 'that's why I love him' expression. Her boyfriend was being an indirect cupid.
"Ab chhodo ye sab, movie shuru ho jayegi" Sameer reminded. He was moving towards the seat, when Munna and Swati went backwards.
"Tum dono kahan ja rahe ho?" Naina asked.
"Humari seat do rows piche h. Tum dono enjoy karo aur humein bhi karne do" Swati winked and left for her seat.
"Ye dono na.. Khair chhodo, jao tum andar." Naina sighed.
"Nahi, tum andar jao. Tum deewar ke side mein baitho, main tumhare side mein baithunga." Sameer firmly said, knowing very well how the people in last rows behaved.
Naina agreed and took her seat, as Sameer sat beside her. The corner seats.

Please tell me how it was. Though the first half might seem bit boring coz main bohot gusse mein thi while typing that. By the time I was writing the PreeDit part, mood khushamkhush ho gya😃
