Part 9 -



New day , new beginning only if she could understand her husband . When she opened her eyes saw she all alone on bed but a red note beside his pillow. " lets get to work , mission winning husband , make allo paratha for me "

she read twice to understand she not reading wrong . ' last night he was really serious about his rule ugh ' Of course she didn't plan to make breakfast for him but he left note . More over, Indian dish her nightmares . She hardly can cook now his wish . But again she couldn't say no .

With much difficulty she made two paratha which was serve worth .

" do you think this paratha will help you to win my heart ? "

Maan asked holding map shape paratha before her . He was examine it as if she gave her exam paper .

" Really only this two survive from all ? " he added with much serious tone.

And this time she felt hurt . Yes she didn't think her first ever paratha would be perfect but still she didn't think Maan would say like this . Was she thinking he will like these ? No She badly wanted him to like this if not food then may be her effort , deep down she wanted to please him . But all ruined because it's her first time . She blink back her eyes , not want him to see her hurt .

" that's what those novel hero would say to wife because he wants to make her feel miserable... "

" huh ? " the way he changed his tone she couldn't help but looked at him confused .

" what don't you read novel . Hero exactly does same . You don't know anything how boring "

here comes his first taunt , and its enough for her to know he is not upset over her breakfast . She felt relief. But again she looked keenly at her food, those looking so bad ...no one can eat these .

" let's throw them " she was about to held plate.

" what no " Maan grabbed it from her hand " it's mine now you can't throw my food " he suddenly became possessive over mere food.

" par yeh sare jaale hue hai "

she felt odd , no matter what she doesn't want him to eat burned breakfast. She just wanted him to acknowledge her effort and he did too , it's enough for her . It's not some movie where hero needs to eat whatever heroine serve , only if she knew her husband well .

" I know ...they looking like cartoon , see even some hole here and there ..." he picked up one and show it to her . She fist her hand not to snatch it back . " more worse they are burnt " he keep adding her flaws one by one " you are terrible cook "

she looked away irritate " but it's made by my wife so it's special...after all it's her first step to win my heart "

she couldn't help but smiled at his last words . This man really know how to play with words . He just being too honest ,which she not used to , he can't lie but sometimes it won't harm to lie . Again it's not his nature so better she has to get used to his way and may be she will understand him too.

" life won't be so boring " she murmured slowly looking at him as he finally eating without picking up her terrible cooking skill .

" I have a meeting at 10 , then I have to go sight seeing ...again another meeting "

he was giving his schedule one by one before he turns to her " I may come late , you know I took leave for days so "

she nodded , didn't know what to say . First of all she didn't get why he telling her his schedule , why it would be her concern .

" will miss you " he kissed her check before heading to door making Geet rooted at her place , she couldn't help but touch the spot where he kissed and smiled softly at his sweet gesture.

After Maan left she was getting bored so made a tour of whole house . She not surprised to see big library on second floor . He is bookworm not doubt. She was about to check one when her phone rang with a message , its showing Maan. She never saved his number but then understood Maan must have did this . She felt embarrass not asking his number before.

" going to meeting ..."

she read it few times not getting what to write back ' why he telling me this ? '

" ok " she finally typed back .

She was about to close her phone when she noticed her screen saver , it showing their marriage pic . Maan looking at her and Geet looking down angry .

" he checked my phone , this man doesn't know the p of privacy urgh "

it made her angry as she not like someone checking her personal thing , again she looked at the pic, it's one of worst pic of her wedding . It made her more irritate ..

" dang ka pic bhi nehi daal sakta " ... she so wanted to change it but still couldn't do it and she not know why .

Whole day she keep getting Maan's messages or calls ...at some point she felt like not taking his call at all . What's so need of checking ? , she knows he is office and he knows she is at home . Then why wasting time on silly calls . At late afternoon when she was sleeping ,again she got another call

" what's wrong with..." she was about to brust when realised it's her mother not Maan ..

" Geet beta kya hua sab thik hai na " hearing her mother's concerned voice she felt bad for shouting like that...

" oh Mom nothing , woh mein soh rahi thi toh bas , forget it Kaise ho aap , How is Papa ? "

" maat puch Geet...your Papa never listen to me . Just yesterday he was so sick, but today when he felt little better , pata nehi kaha chala gaya . I called his Secretary she told me he went to attend meeting..."

" what why didn't you stop him ? "

" mujhe bolke jaati tabhi mein rokhti na... you don't know your Papa . He is always like this . Never care to share anything ...his work , where he going , when he coming nothing . Only I know how I keep worried for him . He can call na but no office jate hi woh alag duniya mein chale jaate hai ...bhool jaate hai someone may be worried ..." ...

although her mother was talking about her father but this made her realise something . Her husband not irresponsible like her father . He already told her his schedule even keep calling her for every hour and so that she not felt bore or worried for him . Even being in office ,being so busy he got little time just to check on her , this shows how caring he is .

She smiled as she got a message from him , this time she didn't felt annoying .

" stuck in traffic ..i will be late "

" I will wait " she smiled at her own words and went to take shower before he reached home ...suddenly she wants to look presentable before her husband.
