Part 7
Just like every other morning, this morning also Sameer and Naina were ready to leave for office. They quickly had some light breakfast and left for office. Oh, and the new thing was, Sameer was going to drop Naina to her office.
"Dekho, main aakhri baar bol rhi hu, chabi mujhe le jane do" she argued as they stepped out of house.
"Nhi, last time bhi tumne confuse kr diya tha. Chabi mere paas hi rhegi" he declared, making her her frown.
"Lekin main jaldi nikal jati hu office se, to adhe ghante tak bina chabi k kya krungi??" she tried to make him see logic.
"To tum mere office aa jana, dono sath mein ghar chale jayenge" he shrugged.
"Sameer, please" she made a pleading face, but he was so damn stubborn.
"dost ki koi kadar hi nhi h" she muttered curses to him.
"Suna maine" he quipped, while she snapped, "accha hua! Aur meri line mujhe hi mat bolo"
Despite her anger, he was happy. He loved irritating her.
While on the way, Naina asked him to stop the car. "Kya hua?" he asked confused. He peeked through the window and saw that they had stopped in front of a bakery.
"cookies leni h" she spoke while getting out of the car and entering the shop, while he was just left wondering.
"Ye kis k liye h?" he enquired when she was back. "Shalu aunty" she answered while tying the seatbelt.
"Unki cookies to humne kha li. Phir subah wo dhund rhi thi. Humein atleast unhe cookies to wapas krni chahiye" she said, making him huff.
The car halted infront of Naina's office and she got down and went inside the office building. She came to her desk and took her seat, while Preeti came to her for their usual chit-chat.
"Swati kahan h?" asked Naina, while Preeti shrugged saying, "I don't know!" A minute or two later, they saw Swati coming their way. She quickly came over to Naina and hugged her. Naina stumbled backwards while Swati hugged her tighter.
"Naina maut k muh se nhi lauti h!!" Preeti joked and Swati broke the hug.
"Thank you so much Naina" Swati smiled while Naina and Preeti looked on in confusion. Swati understood their expressions and continued, "Wo cake tune banaya tha na"
"Tujhe..kaise pata?" she asked while biting her lower lip. "Main tujhe bhi jaanti hu aur us bhulakkad Munna ko bhi! Aur waise bhi, usse saat janmo mein bhi waisa cake nhi banta" she giggled, making Naina laugh too.
"Thank you so much yaar. Tune help nhi ki hoti na, to main pakka gusse mein jhagda kr chuki hoti Munna se" she agreed.
"Wohi to nhi chahti thi main. Rishton ka tootna pasand nhi h mujhe. Aur phir tum dono to pyaar krte ho ek dusre ke, jhagda kaise hone deti tumhara!!" Naina spoke and Swati hugged her again with an aww expression. Naina hugged her back.
"Mujhe bhool jao tum dono" Preeti sat on Swati's desk, cross-armed.
"Aaja nautanki" Naina flung her arm around Preeti's neck and she too joined them in the hug.
A peon came with some files for every employee. "Ye humein kyu nhi bhul jata" Preeti said irritated, making Naina and Swati giggle.
"Aur ye chaar aapki" the peon handed files to Preeti, while she looked at Naina and Swati's files, "Un dono ko do-do to mujhe chaar kyu??" she asked with a frown.
"Aapka kaam humesha ki tarah pending tha, isliye sir ne bhijwa diya" saying so, the peon left.
"Hadd h!!" she was definitely angry. Naina and Swati tried to calm her down, "kaam pending rakhti hi kyu h!"
"Arey is baar nhi rakha pending work, bina matlab mere matthe madh diya" she kept the files on her desk with a thud, while Naina and Swati looked on in surprise. Rather shock.
"Tune pending nhi rakha!!" they asked together. "Nhi.. Gussa aa rha tha to sara khatam kr diya. Socha tha files muh pe marungi" she said gritting her teeth.
"Chhod na, tu ye wali khatam kr k muh pe mar dena" Swati cheered her up, "Wo to main karungi" Preeti vowed.
In the evening, working hours were over and Naina, Swati and Preeti came out together. Preeti asked Naina to come with her as her house was on the way to Preeti's house, and that they'd split the auto rickshaw fare.
"Nhi yaar, mujhe Sameer k office jana h yahan se. Hum dono saath mein ghar jayenge. I'm sorry" Naina looked apologetic while Swati smirked.
"Arey waah! Saath mein ghar jana and all. Progress acchi ho rhi h" she teased while Naina made a kuch-bhi face.
The girls waved a bye to each other and left in auto rickshaws. Naina reached Sameer's office and was waiting for him. After some 10-15 minutes, he came out and they left from there.
When they were just a lane away from home, she asked him about the cookies. "Bhook lagi thi to main kha gya" he replied casually.
"Kyaa!! Tum pagal ho kya!!" she yelled. "Thodi der bhook seh nhi sakte the" she slapped his arm, continuously.
"Arey mazak kr rha hu. Aur kha bhi leta to marogi kya!! Kaisi dost ho!!" he stopped her and she mouthed a Thank God.
"Kitta thank God bologi?!" he muttered as they reached home and got out of the car.
"Shut up!! Aur uncle aunty apne room mein chale jaye, uske baad ye cookies chupke se kitchen mein rakh ana" she instructed him as they went inside.
That's it guys. I'm sorry if it's short. Couldn't include romance in this one, because it's just the start of their friendship. Pyaar mein thoda time to lagega na.
