Ekta Kapoor kickstarts the work on Ek Villain 2; Sidharth Malhotra to

There have been several reports making the
rounds about the sequel to the 2014 hit film
Ek Villain starring Sidharth Malhotra,
Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in
the lead roles.
Now, as per reports in Mumbai Mirror,
producer Ekta Kapoor has hired a few
writers to start working on the sequel
which is all set to be a follow-up to Ek Villain.
Moreover, Sidharth will be seen in the lead
role and there will be a fresh cast joining
him for the sequel.
Talking about it, a source stated to Mumbai
Mirror, "Work on Ek Villain 2 has just kicked
off. The premise of the original is great for a
potential franchise."
Ek Villain 2 will not be directed by Mohit Suri,
but Ekta is planning to rope in new helmer
to the project.
Apart from Ek Villain 2, Ekta and Sidharth are
all set to collaborate with the film titled
Shotgun Shaadi. Talking about it, Ekta earlier
said to MM, "It's my Grease Lightning (the
1977 American biographical film) in today's
times with Sid."
Sidharth will next be seen in the biopic of
Kargil war hero Vikram Batra. Earlier,
Sidharth made the announcement on his
social media pages saying, "Dharma
Productions & Shabbir Boxwala collaborate
to present the true story of bravery &
patriotism - the chronicles of Kargil war
hero Vikram Batra"
The announcement further read, "Sidharth
Malhotra in the lead as Sher Shah Vikram
Batra, Directed by Vishnu Vardhan and
Written by Sandeep Shrivastava"
