YHM Fanfiction: Sanam Bewafaa Part 1

Hi Everyone,

So here we are at the start of a new adventure. I know the current track of the show, on which my story is also somewhat based is one that has upset many of us YHM Fans, including myself.

I hope to give a different take to the plot with this story of mine but that does not mean there won't be some some stuff every now and then that will upset readers here too.

While I am ready to take on the flak that might come my way I just want you to remember that sometimes things go bad before they get better and that there is always more than what meets the eye... also if you have been reading my work for a while now you would have hopefully noticed that in the end logic does prevail, even if it isn't apparent at first.

So just have some patience and bear with me. However don't let what I have written above stop you from sharing your thoughts and feedback be it positive or negative, as the story evolves.

I don't know what direction the show is going to go with this current track but if you find the patience and will power to stick around with me you shall see that I have planned something big that will take many by surprise. Also I can say with a fair amount of certainty that the turning point in my story is something the CVs can't even imagine so it is going to be very different.

With that said, I hope you enjoy this story and read it with an open mind!

Raman-Ishita Bedroom:

It is late in the night. Raman is asleep on the bed. The bedroom door opens and Ishita quietly walks back in. She changes into her night clothes in the dark, without making any noise and gets into bed. As she lies down she checks her phone for the time, it's 2.38 a.m. An uneasy feeling takes over her mind and heart as she realises the day is finally here. In a few hours it will be time for Pihu's hearing in juvenile court. Ideally Ishita would have preferred that she and Raman would have gone to pick up Pihu from her camp- but because of all the tension Adi had caused over the last few days, they could not afford to go so they had sent Romi and Mihika to go get her.

Still wrestling with this uneasy feeling, she sits up leaning against the head rest of the bed and realises she is sweating profusely. She pours herself a glass of water, taking a few sips as she stares into the darkenss. In between sips of water she is trying to sort through the various thoughts running through her mind.

She is distracted as she feels Raman stir in his sleep. He goes still for a while then stirs again. She can tell that although he is still asleep, his mind too is troubled which is why he is so tossing and turning in his sleep. Usually he does not stir much in his sleep, only getting up once in the night to use the washroom and usually when he would get back into bed, he would always pull her close to him and they'd sleep for some part of the night in each other's embrace. Ishita lies down and tries to fall asleep for a few minutes, she tosses and turns in bed hoping to find a comfortable position during which she turns on her side facing Raman and even though the room is pitch black she can feel that he is now awake and staring at her.

Raman: Kya hua Madrasan?

Ishita: Kuch nahi aap so jao.

Raman sighs softly and then pulls her closer to him, she snuggles into his embrace and rests her head on his chest as he wraps his arms around her.

Raman: Sab theek toh hai na Ishita? Tumhe paseena kyun aa raha hai? AC off hai kya?

Ishita: Nahi AC on hai. Woh mujhe neend nahi aa rahi thi toh main thodi der ke liye bahar walk ke liye chali gai thi.

Raman: Arey tune mujhe kyun nahi uthaya?

Ishita: Aap so rahe the... aur woh main... main woh...

Raman: Woh main kya Ishita?

Ishita: Woh main actually kitchen saaf karne ka soch ke neeche gai thi par neeche jake mera bahar walk karne ka man kar gaya...

Raman: Hmmm... shukar hai hamara wardrobe saaf nahi kiya tune!

Ishita: Wardrobe aaj sham ko already saaf kar liya tha na isliye dobara nahi kar sakti thi aur aap so bhi rahe the.

Raman smiles and shakes his head in amusement.

Raman: Pata nahi teri yeh adat kab jayegi! Waise yeh toh bata ki akele walk karte karte tu aisa kya soch rahi thi jo tujhe paseena aa gaya?

Ishita: Kuch soch nahi rahi thi.

Raman: Madrasan yeh teri bewakt safaai aur tehelne ki adat na koi nai baat nahi hai aur tu hamesha aisa tabhi karti hai jab tere dimaag mein kuch chal raha hota hai. Ab bata bhi de warna neend nahi ayegi tujhe aur tere chakkar mein meri bhi bachi kuchi neend kharab ho jayegi.

Ishita: Main kuch soch nahi rahi thi Raman bus ek ajeeb si ghabrahat ho rahi hai. Jaise ki kahin kuch galat ho raha hai. Raman kal kuch gadbad toh nahi hoga na?

Raman: Simmi hamare side hai. Uski gawahai ke baad case puri tarah se hamare favour mein ho jayega. Tum tension mat lo.

Ishita: Hmmm... bus ek baar yeh Pihu ka matter sort out ho jaye phir hum dono ko kuch bhi kar ke Adi...

Raman: Shhh... bus Ishita... Adi ke bare mein abhi kuch nahi. Aur please ab itna mat socho. Hum apne bachoon ko har mushkil se bachayenge. Na unko galat raste pe jane denge aur na hi unke saath kuch galat hone denge. Ab chal apni aakhein band kar aur so ja Madrasan.

Ishita: Haan Raman, apne bachoon ke liye main kuch bhi kar sakti hoon...

Raman: Janta hoon. Tumhare jaisi Maa aur koi nahi hogi jo apne bachoon ke liye kuch bhi kar sakti hai.

Ishita: Aisa nahi hai Raman. Har Maa aisi hi hoti hai, uske bacche uski zindagi se badhkar hote hain.

Raman: Aur bachoon ke Papa ka kya?

Ishita: Mere bachoon ke Papa toh unse bhi bade bacche hain. Toh ab aap khud hi socho unki kya jagah hogi meri life mein.

Raman: Bus baatein kare le koi tujhse! Chal ab so ja Madrasan warna baatein karte karte subah ho jayegi.

Ishita closes her eyes and tries to sleep but she isn't able to shake this feeling that something wrong is going to happen which is why she is still a little restless even though she is in the place that brings her the most comfort in the world- Raman's arms. After a few minutes she feels Raman's soft lips on the top of her head, kissing her reassuringly. She smiles a little for even though she had not moved an inch since he wrapped her in his arms, he was still able to feel the restlessness going on in her mind and heart. Rising her head slightly from his chest she looks upwards towards his face. Since both of them have been laying awake in the dark, their eyes have now adjusted to the darkness and they are able to see faint outlines of each other. Raman can see the outline of her face so he lowers his face a little and his lips find hers as he kisses her softly. He feels Ishita's hand which was on his chest move up to softly caress his cheek as he continues kissing her slowly while gradually deepening the kiss. In that kiss they both feel love and reassurance that they are trying to give each other. They break the kiss a few minutes later to catch a breath and in the darkness they stare into each others eyes for a few moments before Ishita once again rests her head right on top of his beating heart and gradually falls asleep listening to his heartbeat and he too eventually goes back to sleep holding Ishita tightly as nothing is more soothing for him that having her in his arms when he is asleep.

A few hours later Ishita wakes up to find herself still securely wrapped in Raman's arms. Trying very hard not to wake him up she slowly wriggles out of his embrace. She sits up and watches him for a few seconds to make sure that he is still asleep. As soon as she looks away and turns a little sideways to get off the bed, she feels his hand grab hold of her hand and he pulls her swiftly so that her upper body lands on top of his torso. He immediately wraps his arms around her waist so that she cannot escape. She stares into his eyes wondering why he is up to such mischief that too on such an important day. Raman slides his left hand to the back of her head and with little force pushes her head closer to his face and within seconds their lips touch and he kisses her. Once again, just like a few hours ago, this kiss too is devoid of passion or lust, instead it is of another kind- full of love, strength and reassurance- something they both really needed from each other on such an important day. Ishita is lost in his embrace and the kiss until they finally part to catch their breath a few minutes later.

Ishita: Raman aaj itna important din hai aur aapko masti soojh rahi hai?

Raman: Arey, important din hai isliye toh... yeh masti wala kiss nahi hai Madam... agar yeh masti wala kiss hota toh main sirf ek kiss pe thodi rukta...

Ishita playfully hits Raman on his chest as she rolls her eyes at him.

Ishita: Accha toh phir kaisa kiss tha yeh?

Raman: Yeh kiss tujhe yeh bharosa dilane ke liye tha ki sab theek ho jayega. Aaj ke baad Pihu ko kisi se darne ki zaroorat nahi hogi, tere sar pe joh itna bada ilzaam hai kisi ko marne ka woh bhi puri tarah se chala jayega.

Ishita: Aur Adi...

Raman: Adi...use bhi hum kaise bhi sahi raste pe le hi ayenge Ishita. Jab tak hum apne bachoon ke saath hai unhe kuch nahi hoga. Dekh waise bhi Roshni ki aaj shaadi ho jayegi, uske baad Roshni ka jo infactuation hai aur Aliya ko divorce dene ka fitoor hai dono hi Adi ke sar se ek jhatke mein utar jayega aur rahi Suraj aur uski illegal business ki baat toh hum milke koi na koi solution nikal hi lenge.

Ishita: Kaash yeh itna asaan hota Raman. Adi bahut badi jal mein phas gaya hai. Itna asaan nahi hoga yeh sab karna. Aur Suraj apna illegal business aapke nam pe chala raha hai, isse aage chal ke woh aapko bhi phasa sakta hai...

Raman: Meri Jhansi Ki Rani ke hote hue kisi ki himmat ki woh mujhe phasa sake! Tere pyaar ke jal se niklunga tab toh kisi aur ke jal mein phasunga na! Aur for your kind information, let me tell you ki jab tak tera Ravan Kumar aur uski Jhansi Ki Rani ek saath hai koi un dono ka aur unke bachoon ka baal bhi baka nahi kar sakta. Aur Suraj ko toh humne pehle bhi nako chane chabwaye hain.

Ishita: Hmmm... you are right... aap dono ko main kuch nahi hone de sakti chache iskye liye mujhe kuch bhi karna pade. Accha Raman ab chodo mujhe. Jaldi se ready hoke neeche chalte hain. Waise bhi dekho late ho gaya hai, ek ek karke ready hone mein aur late ho jayega.

Reluctantly, Raman lets Ishita go. He gets out of bed, grabs his clothes and a fresh towel from the wardrobe and he is about to head to the washroom when out of nowhere Ishita suddenly comes in front of him and hugs him tightly. Raman is somewhat taken aback, yet he tosses the clothes he is holding on the sofa near the wardrobe and hugs her back. A few silent minutes pass by as they lovingly hold each other.

Ishita: I love you Raman...

Raman: I love you too Ishita... waise ab late nahi ho raha kya Madrasan?

Ishita nods her head but still does not let go of Raman, instead he feels her hold on him tighten a little as if she does not want to come out of his embrace ever. Raman kisses her on top of her head and brings his arms to her shoulders and pulls her away slightly so that he can look into her eyes.

Raman: Ishita sab theek toh hai na? Kal raat se notice kar raha hun tum bahut bechain ho. Koi baat hai kya jo tumhe pareshan kar rahi hai?

Ishita: Nahi Raman, aisi koi baat nahi hai. Maine kaha na ek ajeeb si ghabrahat ho rahi hai bus.

Raman looks into her eyes, he knows something is eating her up from the inside out and he is very sure that it has to do with Pihu's case and Adi's erratic behaviour. He kisses her softly on her forehead once again and looks into her eyes.

Raman: Jab tak Pihu aur Adi ki Ishimaa unke saath hai koi gadbad nahi hogi! Mujhe unki Ishimaa pe pura bharosa hai toh mere bharose jitna na sahi uska aadha hi sahi apne aap pe bhi bharosa kar lo Ishita!

Ishita does not say a word but just keeps looking into Raman's eyes.

Raman: Waise mujhe nahi pata tha ki ek meethi morning kiss ka meri Madrasan pe aisa asar padega ki woh mere itne kareeb aa jayegi aur uske baad uska mujhe chodne ka man hi nahi karega. So aaj se hamari din ki shuruat roz aise hi hogi for the rest of our lives! Roz hamari good morning ek meethi si kiss ke saath shuru hogi aur roz tu aise hi meri bahoon me aa jana.

Ishita: Promise...

Raman: Tujhe ho kya gaya hai Madrasan?!? Itni bold ho gai ek kiss mein! Ek second kahin main koi sapna toh nahi dekh raha hun na!

Ishita: Agar yeh sapna hai toh main chahti hun ki hamari neend kabhi na khule.

Raman: Madrasan itni romantic baatein! Yahan khade khade hi apne batoon se mujhe mar dalne ka irada hai kya!

Ishita: Raman please yeh beech mein marne ki baatein kyun kar rahe ho? Ek toh waise hi mera man ghabra raha hai upar se aap...

Raman: Tu kyun ghabra rahi hai? Ghabrana toh mujhe chahiye...Morning mein tu mujhe itne bade shock de rahi hai! Agar aisa hi chalta raha toh pata nahi raat hote hote aur kitne shocks de degi! Waise aaj Pihu ki life ka ek naya chapter shuru hoga toh Pihu ke Papa aur uski Ishimaa ko bhi yeh celebrate karna chahiye... abhi toh maine sirf morning kiss diya tha lekin aaj raat ko toh sirf kiss se kam nahi chalega...

Ishita: Kuch bhi Raman! Jao aap ready ho jao. Main neeche jake sabka nashta dekh leti hoon aur Romi aur Mihika bhi pahuchte hi honge Delhi thodi der mein.

Raman: Finally! Yeh hui na meri Madrasan wali baat! Jab tak tu mere romance ki band nahi bajati romance adhoora lagta hai mujhe!

Ishita: Raman please ek hug kya kar diya aapko aap toh chadte hi ja rahe ho! Jao ab late ho raha hai!

Raman: You are right. Main jaldi ready ho jata hun. Lekin mere romance ki band bajane ki saza toh main tujhe aaj de ke rahunga Madrasan. Bhulna mat.

Ishita: Hmmm...

Raman: Itna thanda reaction?!? Ab romance ke beech kya sochne lagi?

Ishita: Raman main soch rahi hun Adi ko message kar deti hun Pihu ke court hearing ka time. Woh humse naraaz hai lekin Pihu ke liye toh woh court zaroor ayega na!

Raman: Tum pagal ho gai ho kya? Itna pagalpan karne ke baad tumhe lagta hai hamara beta court ayega? Abhi ke liye uske bare mein mat socho Ishita, sirf Pihu pe concentrate karo. Adi ko hum baad mein handle karenge. Adi is waqt hamara Adi nahi hai Ishita. Jo apne maa, baap, biwi ke saath aisa behave kar sakta hai woh apni behan ke liye court ayega. Impossible.

Ishita: Raman abhi do minute pehle aap mujhe reassure kar rahe the Adi ke bare mein aur ab aap ekdum ulta bol rahe ho! Adi ayega Raman, mera dil keh raha hai. Ek maa ka dil kabhi apne bachoon ko le ke galat nahi ho sakta. Hamare diye hue kuch toh sanskar usme baki honge na Raman. Apne behno se toh woh aaj bhi pyaar karta hi hoga na!

Raman: Kamal ki baat hai na Ishita, tumhara dil keh raha hai ki woh ayega lekin tumhari aakhein bhar aai. Agar itna bharosa hai toh ro kyun rahi ho?

Ishita looks at him with tears in her eyes and once again Raman hugs her.

Raman: Ishita hamara Adi puri tarah se bhatak gaya hai. Uska parivaar mar gaya hai uske liye. Isliye please use message mat karo. Woh nahi ayega aur use court mein nahi dekh ke tumhe hi sabse zada takleef hogi phir. Dekho main janta hun maine abhi thodi der pehle kya kaha lekin iska matlab yeh nahi hai ki hum ek saath ek hi time pe sab kuch suljhane ki koshish karein. Adi ko Suraj ke changul se nikalna aur use wapas sahi rah pe lana itna asaan nahi hoga. Uske liye humein time chahiye. Isliye please yeh bekar ki zidd chod de Madrasan. Woh nahi ayega...

Ishita: Woh kaise nahi ayega? Itna pyaar diya hai humne use Raman, hamare dil ka tukda hai woh. Aaj Pihu ke liye itna important din hai. Aaj agar jaisa humne socha hai sab waisa hua toh Pihu azaad ji payegi, chain ki saas le payegi. Aur uske baad aap dekha Pihu ka pyaar Adi ko rok lega aur phir humein mauka milega usse baat karne ka, use samjhane ka, use sambhalne ka.

Raman wipes the tears that are rolling from her eyes and hugs her once again. In his embrace she finally breaks down and he comforts her.

Raman: Bus Ishita! Janti ho na tumhare akhoon mein main aasu nahi dekh sakta. Tumhe bharosa hai na. Toh tumhare isi bharose ko hum apni takat banayenge aur apne Adi ko wapas layenge. Hamara Beta humein chod ke kahin nahi jayega. Chal ab apne aasun poch aur neeche ja ke dekh baki sab ka kya haal hai.

Ishita: Pihu ko toh Romi aur Mihika seedhe court le ke ayenge na. Toh main uske liye kuch khane ka pack kar deti hoon aur...

Raman: Aur Adi ke liye bhi... hai na?

Ishita: Haan Raman. Hamare Adi ke liye.

Raman: Tu manage thodi! Chal ja phir kitchen mein. Main jaldi se ready ho jata hoon.

Bhalla Kitchen:

Ishita and Neelu are busy cooking breakfast. Just then Toshi comes to Ishita's side.

Toshi: Ishita, tu kyun kar rahi hai saware saware itna kaam. Neelu dekh legi.

Ishita: Nahi Mummy Ji. Bus thoda sa nashta bana rahi hun. Pihu ke liye bhi pack kar ke le jayenge.

Toshi: Aaj toh lagta hai sab ne than li hai meri baat na sunne ki. Pehle Simmi aur ab tu.

Ishita: Simmi... Simmi ne kya kiya Mummy Ji?

Toshi: Arey woh saware mandir chali gai. Keh ke gai hai wahan se seedhe court ayegi.

Ishita gets worried hearing this. She hopes Simmi isn't playing some weird game with them again.

Ishita: Mummy Ji, lekin agar kisi wajah se Simmi court time pe nahi pahuchi toh bahut gadbad ho jayegi. Hamara pura case palat jayega aur phir Pihu...

Toshi: Nahi Puttar! Aisa kuch nahi hoga! Simmi time pe ayegi aur woh Pihu ke liye hi bolegi. Main apni beti ko acche tarah se janti hun Puttar. Tu is mamle mein ekdum befikar ho ja!

Just then Aliya walks in, dressed up to go for Roshni's wedding.

Ishita: Aliya, tum ready ho na? Shagun aur Mani alag se mandir pahuch rahe hain kya?

Aliya: Haan Amma. Mumma Roshni ko le ke ayengi aur Appa Shantanu aur uske family ko. Waise Pandit ka phone aya tha- mandir ka address confirm karne ko. Toh maine unhe bata diya aur time bhi bata diya.

Ishita: Pandit ka phone? Lekin Shagun ne toh kaha tha ki usi Mandir ke Pandit Ji shaadi karwa denge. Phir yeh call...

Aliya is also confused hearing this. Suddenly Ishita realises that Adi must have gotten someone to call Aliya to find out the venue and time for the wedding.

Ishita: Neelu yeh Medu Vada Pihu ke liye pack kar dena aur sun thode extra hi pack karna 2-3 logon ke liye. Main na jaldi ready ho ke aati hun. Aliya main pehle Mandir chalungi tumhare saath, wahan se Roshni se milke phir court jaungi. Toh hum saath hi niklenge okay.

Aliya: Ok Amma.

Just them Raman comes down and sits on the breakfast table.

Ishita: Raman main ready hone ja rahi hun. Breakfast kar ke aap please kamre mein ek baar ana uske baad court ke liye nikalna.

Raman nods at her as she rushes to get dressed.

Raman-Ishita Bedroom:

Ishita hurriedly showers and gets dressed. She is pacing around the room waiting for Raman to come so that she can talk to her. Ishita has her back to the front door when Raman walks in.

Raman: Kya hua Ishita? Sab theek toh hai na?

Ishita: Raman... woh Adi...

Raman: Mana kar diya na usne court ane se? Maine kaha hi tha tujhe...

Ishita: Nahi Raman, woh I think Adi ko pata chal gaya hai ki Roshni ki shaadi kahan ho rahi hai aur mujhe lagta hai woh wahan zarror jayega kuch gadbad karne.

Raman: What?!?

Ishita: Haan Raman, isliye aap na yahan se court jao aur main pehle Mandir ja ke ek baar dekh lun hi sab theek hai. Phir main seedhe court aungi. By chance agar Adi Mandir aa jata hai toh mujhe wahan hona chahiye use sambhalne ke liye. Kahin gusse mein woh kuch...

Raman: Ishita agar tujhe situation halki si bhi out of control jate hue dikhe toh tu seeha police ko call karegi. Samjhi?

Ishita: Haan Raman. Aaj hamare dono bachoon ki zindagi dav par lagi hai.

Raman: Hum hai na hamare bachoon ke saath. Kuch nahi hoga sab theek ho jayega.

Ishita and Raman hug briefly. Raman lets go of her, collects all the necessary files for Pihu's hearing and gets ready to leave.

Ishita: Raman woh Mummy Ji ne bataya ki Simmi Mandir chali gai hai. Kahin kuch...

Raman: Relax Ishita. Main messages ke through usse constant touch mein hun. Abhi jab main upar aa raha tha toh uska message aa gaya tha ki woh court ke liye nikal gai hai.

Ishita nods but Raman can clearly see the doubt in her eyes. He comes close to her and hugs her.

Raman: Ishita, I know tumhe Simmi pe puri tarah se bharosa nahi hai. Tum dono ke beech in kuch saloon mein itne differences jo ho gaye the, but woh meri behan hai aur Pihu se bahut pyaar karti hai. Sab kuch theek hoga okay.

Ishita: Raman aisa nahi hai. Par pata nahi ek ajeeb si bechani ho rahi hai Pihu ke case ko lekar. Main janti hun Simmi Pihu se pyaar karti hai lekin usne apni Beti khoi hai... pata nahi Raman...main aapko kaise samjhaoon...

Raman: Toh tum Mandhir mat jao. Mere saath court chalo. Jab tak tum apni aakhon se Simmi ko Pihu ke favour mein gawahi dete nahi dekhogi tumhari yeh bechani nahi jayegi. Ishita mujhe nahi lagta ki Adi wahan aayega. Roshni apni marzi se shaadi kar rahi hai. Adi ko yeh baat accept karna hi hoga.

Ishita: Nahi Raman, woh itni asaani se accept nahi kar payega. Roshni ke saath hone ke liye woh Aliya ko divorce dene ke liye bhi ready ho gaya. Aur aapne dekha na usne Shantanu se kaise baat ki thi. Woh mandir zaroor ayega aur apni aakhon se Roshni ki shaadi hote dekh chup bhi nahi rahega. Isliye mera wahan hona zaroori hai taki main use sambhal sakun.

Raman: Theek hai tum Mandir hi jao phir. Par please apna dhayan rahna. Main court ke liye nikalta hoon ab. Hearing se pehle ek baar lawyer se sab dobara discuss bhi kar lunga.

Raman turns to leave but stops after taking two steps as he feels a pull. He looks down and sees Ishita holding his hand. When they woke up in the morning Raman had found this unusually clingy behaviour of Ishita's cute and amusing but now he is getting a little concerned seeing her odd behaviour for if she is not able to pull herself together how will she be able to manage Adi should he show up at the temple.

Raman: Ishita kya ho gaya hai tumhe? Aise behave kar rahi ho jaise aaj chala gaya toh dobabra wapas nahi aunga.

Ishita just looks at Raman with an expressionless face.

Ishita: Raman ek toh aise hi main pareshan hoon upar se aap itni ajeeb baatein kar rahe ho.

Raman: Ok Sorry! I guess hum dono hi thode tensed hai isliye maine bhi aise hi kuch bhi bol diya.

Ishita: Aaj bol diya dobara aisa kabhi mat bolna!

Raman: Fine. Nahi bolunga. Ishita ab toh haath chodo mera.

Ishita still does not let go. Raman looks at her unable to understand what is going on in her mind.

Raman: Pagal! Main sirf haath chodne ki baat kar raha hoon, tera saath nahi!

Ishita: Phir bola aapne! Ravan Kumar aap kabhi nahi sudhroge!

Raman: Main sudhar gaya toh tu Ravan Kumar kise bulayegi?

Ishita smiles a little as tears threaten to roll down her eyes. She pulls herself together for she does not want to worry him more by crying in front of him yet again. Reluctantly she lets go of his hand. He is about to come close to hug her once again, but at that very moment he hears Toshi calling him to come downstairs as they are ready to go to court so he just smiles at her reassuringly, turns around and walks out of the room and for some reason the tears that Ishita had been trying hard to hold back start flowing out of her eyes as she watches him leave.
