"Educated illiterate man... a slave, wrapped inside a wife" love the way you have succinctly summed up both Shyam and their marriage. This is a reality for far too many even today. A girl child = burden...

Is Arnav an artist? He comes across as someone who will give Khushi the unconditional love she yearned for. And doing that by first making her believe in herself. And not with false platitudes.

Amazing update

So, Khushi was married to Shyam and left him because of his heinous crime of killing their children just because they are girls. As Khushi said he is Educated illiterate Man who doesn't know, boy or girl it depends on the Man but in the end it is the woman who has to suffer the consequences. Loved the way Arnav showed in action that whatever they have is right. Will be waiting for the next ones to know how Arnav and Khushi meet.

When will people like Shyam realise that the chromosomes which determines the gender of the baby comes from the man?

When will people like Shyam stop making the girl partner responsible for the gender of the baby or anything else which happens to the baby, when both of them are together in making that baby?

When will people realise, to continue human race, you need girls and boys equally?

They need each other and one without the other is incomplete

Good plot. Hope Khushi left Shyam for good. To know what happens in the future, we will wait.

On a lighter note, it seems feeding abortion pills to wives is Shyam's favourite past time.
