That day passed somehow for Ishita and Romika to set up everything at right place. Everything was cleared. Mrs Bhalla called Ishita in evening to ask if all sorted or not out of concern which Ishita liked. Ishita invited Bhallas on dinner for next day and both talked for sometime, then ended the call.
Next day too passed smoothly and at night, Bhallas reached at Iyers house for dinner. IshMi welcomed them warmly and introduced them to the caretakers of the house, Prakash Kaka and Kamla kaki who are working here from the very beginning and have one son, Amit who had completed studies and now working in their company only. These three are their only family and lives with them. Ishita also introduced Bhallas to them and all settled on dining table. IshMi served everyone and then they too sat with them. Bhallas started dinner and praised it. Mrs Bhalla liked it so much as it was all Punjabi dishes. Kamla kaki told that IshMi prepared whole dinner and Mrs Bhalla became more happy as her daughter in law know to cook Punjabi dishes also. All completed their dinner with little chit chat and after dinner all settled in hall.
First they talked about last day's incident and then Mrs Bhalla started,
Mrs Bhalla-Ishita puttar, Mihika puttar baat yeh hai ki mujhe aur Bhalla Ji ko to Mihika pasand hai aur humhe koi problem nhi hai par.. (We like Mihika but...)
Romi(nervously cutting her in mid)-par Kya Maa? (but what Maa?)
Mr Bhalla-Romi Toshiji ko bolne to do. (Romi, let her speak.)
Romi was about to say something but Raman stopped him and told him to relax while Toshiji continued.
Mrs Bhalla-Baat yeh hai puttar ki hum Punjabi hai aur Mihika Tamilian. Dekho Ishita puttar, tumhare parents nhi hai to yeh bat humhe tum dono se hi karni hai. (We are Punjabi but Mihika is Tamilian. Ishita, you don't have parents so we have to talk these things with you only.)
Ishita-Main samaj Sakti Hu auntiji, Aapko jo kehna hai aap aaram se kahiye. (I understand, you can say anything Auntiji.)
Mrs Bhalla-Vaise to humhe jyada koi problem nhi hai iss rishtey se kyonki Mihika achchi ladki hai par aakhiri faisla Bhalla Ji ke Chachaji aur Chachiji ka hoga jo hamare parivar mein bade bhi hai aur hum unhe bhot maante bhi hai. Main tum dono ko hamare parivar ke baare mein btati hu. (We don't have any problem but final decision will be of Mr Bhalla's uncle aunt whom we respect a lot.)
Let me tell you all about Bhallas, Mr Om Prakash Bhalla's father and younger brother always lived together. Bhallas had a joint family and both brothers were jamidaars at their native place in Punjab and a property business. Mr Bhalla chose to become a professor while his cousins continued their family business. Mr Bhalla got a govt. job in Chandigarh so they shifted there and lived a simple life and brought up their sons with whatever they have earned there only till now but they always remained connected with whole family. Mr Bhalla's parents died many years back and Mr and Mrs Bhalla respects and values Mr Bhalla's uncle and aunt a lot as they are the only elders to them. They too considered Mr Bhalla as their own son.
Mrs Bhalla-To agar Chachaji aur Chachiji ko Mihika pasand aa gayi to koi problem nhi hogi.
She saw Mihika nervous and assured her saying they are not much strict but they like a well-mannered girl with good values and she also informed that they couldn't come in house warming function as that day a boy's family came to fix marriage date of Raman's cousin sister but now Raman's grandparents are coming next day to discuss about marriage preparations with Raman as they gave responsibility to Raman. They had already talked about Romi and Mihika and they decided to meet and observe Mihika too till they are in Delhi. IshMi accepted it happily. Mihika was a little nervous but Raman made her relax saying their dadi dada are very sweet and good and she will definitely won their hearts.
Ishita-Auntiji uncleji humhe koi problem nhi hai isse. Aapka haq banta hai aap apne bete ke liye best choose karo. Mihika ko koi problem nhi hai, right Miku. (We don't have any problem.)
Mihika-Yes Akka, I don't have any problem. Aur vaise bhi maine aur Romi ne yeh pahle hi decide Kar liya tha ki aap logo ka jo bhi decision hoga hum khushi khushi accept karenge. (Yes Akka, we had already decided that final decision will be yours.)
Romi told the same. All had a good time together sharing about their lives and family and then Bhallas finally left from there when it was getting late. All were happy and satisfied with this meeting as last meeting got disturbed.
Next day started normally. Raman's grandparents too came till afternoon but Romi and Raman were not at home as they had some urgent work. They completed their work little early in evening and came back. Their grandparents used to pamper them a lot in childhood whenever they used to go at their native place so they love their grandparents too much. They were so happy as they were meeting their grandparents after long. They spent some time together and then their grandfather asked Romi about Mihika's whereabouts to which he informed that she was also working with them only for some event so she also went back to her home. They told him to call her now only with her sister. Romi called Mihika and before he could say anything, his grandmother took mobile phone and talked to Mihika. Mihika who was initially nervous, after talking to dadi, she got relaxed as dadi was talking so nicely. Dadi called her to Bhalla house with Ishita but Mihika said that Ishita is still in office. Dadi told her to come and informed her sister to come back soon. She accepted and after 20 minutes, she was in Bhalla house after informing Ishita.
After complete two hours, Ishita entered in Bhalla house and saw everyone were sitting in hall and Mihika was talking to dadi dadu. Toshiji noticed her and called her inside. She introduced Ishita to dadi dadu and Ishita greeted them taking their blessings while dadu dadi too blessed her and all sat together. Dadu dadi talked to IshMi and were impressed with Romi's choice. They liked IshMi but didn't show it thinking to know them a little more till they are in Delhi. Mrs Bhalla also informed that Ishita is single and she is not going to marry at least for now. After sometime IshMi left from there. Dadu dadi informed them that they want some time to decide.
Three days passed, dadu dadi discussed everything with Raman and Mihika related to marriage preparations while in between these, they got to know more about Mihika as they got to see her professional side too. Soon Mihika bonded well with dadu dadi as they also behaved with her good like they use to be friendly with Raman and Romi. In the morning when they were going back, Ishita and Mihika were also there. They informed that they liked Mihika very much and they have no issue with Romika marriage. All got happy. They were just a little uncomfortable with the fact that both Raman and Ishita are elder siblings and not married so they decided to get Romika engaged first and in between if Ishra too got their life partners, then its good but if not so they will go with flow. They invited Ishmi at their native place in Raman's cousin sister's wedding after two months where they will announce Romika engagement and if all goes right then they will get them engaged there only but they assured Ishita that they will inform them earlier to give them time to invite their friends and relatives too. They also told Raman and Mihika to arrange everything well. Then they took Raman aside and asked,
Dadu(slowly)-Tujhe bhi koi ladki pasand hai Kya? (Do you like any girl?)
Raman was surprised with sudden question and denied saying he is not interested in marriage now. Dadi hit him lightly on his shoulder and said,
Dadi-Khoteya, ab nhi to kab shadi karega, jab hamari tarah Buddha ho jaayega. Tere chote bhai bahan ki bhi shadi hone wali hai, ab to haa bolde. (When will you get married? Your younger sister and brother are also going to marry.)
Raman(folding his hands)-Thik hai mere pyaare dadi dadu, main bhi shadi karunga lekin koi achchi si ladki to choose karlo mere liye. (Fine my lovely dadu dadi, i will also get married but first find out a nice girl.)
Dadi-Ladki to Humne chun li hai. (We already found a girl.)
Raman (shocked)-Kya? Oh ab main samjha. Chalo koi nhi, ab mujhe bhi to btaao ki vo ladki kon hai. (What? Tell me who is the girl.)
Dadi called him near and told in his ear, "Ishita puttar making him more shocked. He was standing too shocked to react while others were looking at their expressions and trying to know what they are talking. Dadu shook Raman and asked what happened.
Raman-Dadu dadi aap dono ko pta hai aap log Kya bol rhe ho. Aap logo ko pta hai Na ki Ishita mujhse to Kya kisi se shadi nhi karna chahti to phir aisa soch bhi kaise sakte ho. It's impossible. (What are you saying? You know na, Ishita don't want to marry anyone. It's impossible.)
Dadu-Khoteya, impossible ko possible hi to Tujhe bnana hai. (You have to make it possible.)
Raman-Kya matlab? (means)
Dadi-Matlab yeh puttar, humhe Ishita puttar bhot pasand hai. Ha vo shaadi nhi Karna chahti kyonki usse koi achcha ladka nhi mila, par agar usse ek achcha ladka pasand aa jaaye to koi problem nhi hai. Aur vo achcha ladka tu bhi ho sakta hai, mera puttar sabse achcha hai. (Means we like Ishita a lot for you. If she starts liking someone for herself so she will get married so you can be that boy.)
Raman(getting their meaning)-Ek minute ek minute, to aap log Kya chahte hai mujhse. (What do you want from me?)
Dadi(smiling)-Ki Tu Ishita puttar ko patale. (You have to make Ishita fall in love with you.)
Raman(shocked)-What? Aap dono mere dada dadi hi ho Na. Aap log aisi salah de rhe ho mujhe. Kya bole jaa rhe ho. Main aisa kuch nhi karne wala. (what? What type of advice you are giving to me? I will not do anything like this.)
Dadu-Bhallas ki nak katwayega yeh khoteya. Arey tujhe Ishita puttar ko cheat karne ko nhi bol rhe, bas tum dono friends ban jaao, tum dono ek dusre ko samjho, tu uske sath kam kar Agar tum dono ek dusre ko pasand aa gaye to hamari balle balle aur nhi to hum jabardasti nhi karenge. (You are not going to cheat Ishita. We just want you to befriend with her and if you both like each other so it will be good otherwise we will not force you.)
Dadi-Apne dada dadi ke liye itna nhi kar sakta tu puttar. (Can't you do this simple thing for us.)
She said making a sad face and Raman smiled seeing his nautanki dadi after long time and said taking them in a side hug,
Raman-Thik hai dadu dadi, main aap dono ke liye aisa karunga. Ok. Ab khush.
Dadu-dadi-Bhot khush.
Trio hugged and then dadu dadi left from there with Mr Bhalla for airport. As their car went out of their sight, Raman turned and saw everyone was looking at him suspiciously.
Raman-Why you all are looking at me like this?
He tried to go but Romi stopped him and asked what they were talking.
Raman-Kuch nhi, kuch kam tha unhe mujhse bas.
Romi-Kaisa kam.
Raman-tere kam ka nhi hai.
Toshiji-Aisa konsa kam hai.
Raman(irritated)-Sherni ke muh mein hath daalna hai.
All(confused)-Kya?
Raman left from there saying its none of their business while all others were confused.
